The end was clear. Hugo relaxed. The urge to jump into the battle washed away. The monster had already lost so much blood.
For monsters that had reached S-rank, their blood was their energy source. Drain it and they were powerless. It was why their bodies had adapted in a way that when they reached a certain level, only some kinds of attacks could draw much blood.
Every single drop of blood contained so much energy so it was very crucial for them. The monsters had adapted in smart ways.
