Hugo weaved in between the crowds of disgusting Plague Monsters, leaving narrow trails of black flames behind. His body sharply twisted mid-air, and his feet swerved to kick the green creature trying to sneak in from his side.
The Plague Monster shot into the ground, exploding into a mass of green slime. It had nearly been a day since the barriers malfunctioned the first time. He didn't know how to describe the feelings he felt.
Earlier when Physician spoke about capable individuals, he couldn't help but scoff. There were barely enough people who could withstand the Plague in Allegro. The few who could were already doing their best.
So where would the rest of these capable people come from?
He fell to the ground and skidded to a halt next to someone.
Hugo had completely forgotten about him, but his presence there said a lot.
