"Hmph, measly beast, it's my turn now!"
"Black Matter Conjuring: Shiloh!"
Black matter particles spilt out of Hugo's hands and flew towards his palm. The particles rested on his palm and condensed into a black long sword.
The long sword was a bit heavy, but Hugo was familiar with the weight of the sword. The long sword looked sleek and exquisite, the make of the sword also looked very well done. There were fine lines drawn on the surface of the sword, forming runes, the runes also climbed onto the long hilt of the sword looking extremely mystical.
In his hands, the Sword of Shiloh glowed with a gleaming sword light that enveloped Hugo's flying figure.
'I wonder if he has a magic ability or a strength-based enhancement-type ability? This kid is more and more mysterious, and if I'm not wrong, he is also a powerhouse in the mental aspect. People like him are the reason many people get driven to suicide.'
Hyena stared in wonder at his godly figure and watched the fight in fascination, wondering what else he could do.
Hugo raised the sword into the sky and brought it down, pointing it towards the monster.
"Come beast!"
His words were a challenge to the monster, and though it was intelligent, its nature as a monster made it impossible not to feel excited at a challenge.
UNGH!
The beast grunted loud and flew closer to Hugo, but kept a close distance away from him, wary of the sword that radiated a huge aura. Hugo did not move his position and kept both his sword and his eye on the vulture monster's body.
"Let's see what you're going to do next. Eh? Summoned some friends did you now?"
He muttered to himself, steadying the sword in one hand and looking towards the direction the other monsters were coming from.
Ungh! Ungh! Ungh!
The flapping of wings and grunts were the second most loud thing in the area.
As for the first, it was a chilling sword keen that bit through the air like a cold frost on a snowy night.
The sword vibrated within Hugo's hand, yearning for blood to touch its blade.
'This is the reason I don't like using Shiloh, it demands blood, lucky for me, some willing sacrifices offered themselves!'
Hugo's smiled wildly as he watched the vultures send themselves to death.
"No more playing around, I still have things to do!"
Hugo thrust his sword out, and the monsters grunted loudly. An unlucky vulture was in front of the sword's tip when he thrust it out.
Bang!
The sword pierced the vultures chest and vibrated within it, the vulture's body shook heavily akin to a person having a seizure and then finally, it exploded into mush, like Hugo's other enemies.
"Apologies, but the amount isn't there yet, even if this is a virtual space, Shiloh's personality is still the same and so, this little bit is far from enough!"
Hugo shook the sword and blood came off of it.
The vultures looked at him warily and thought of what happened to their brethren when the sword hit it.
"Do not be frightened. After all, you were dead long before I brought out my sword!"
His words sounded intimidating, but they could tell that the human was in no way bluffing.
"First Strike- Justice!"
He raised his sword into the air and brought it down, facing the directions the vulture monsters flew in.
BOOM!
A loud boom erupted when he completed the sword strike, which only seemed to chop the air.
"Hmm, at least the small fry are taking care of."
He exclaimed as the blood and guts of the monsters rained down on the ground. The last monster remaining was the vulture boss which coldly looked at him from a distance. The vulture only took one apathetic glance at its fallen brethren.
'Damn it, with Hugo's personality he's gonna rush straight ahead without caring! What did he expect, they're beasts and this one's a vulture for fuck's sake, apart from sharing food and a few other things, the lives of their family do not matter to them!'
Hyena analyzed in an instant, but he had no way of making his voice reach Hugo's ear, who had long since flown closer to the sun.
Hugo's nostrils flared, and veins popped up on his forehead gradually crawling towards his eyes. He clenched his teeth together and gritted them against each other.
"Now, tell me... what did they do to deserve that? Was it because you feel they're dead weight, or is it because of your greed?..."
"... What the hell am I doing? Talking to a monster that I can just kill and get it done with!"
Hugo put his hand onto the sword hilt and charged forward.
Ungh!
The monster felt its back becoming chilly, the feathers on its wings also felt stiff. The danger was approaching, and fast.
Ungh!
"Dive!"
The monster activated a skill and dove into the clouds below. Hugo's crazed state made him almost devoid of any logic at all, and so he went followed the monster and also dove into the clouds.
Ungh!
A long and sharp beak pierced one of the earlier injuries, the vulture monster dislodged his beak from the human's flesh and flew backwards.
'Shit, to think they made it this intelligent!'
From deep within the clouds, Hugo saw a pair of wise and intelligent brown eyes.
'Something is wrong, the monster should not have looked like that, no matter how intelligent it is! There must be some sort of problems on the outside!'
That one look was enough for him to regain his senses and think straight once again.
'This thing is a bit too strong, and with that intelligence from before, I might not last long- Argh!'
While he was in deep thinking, the monster snuck off from his side and went behind him, and using its skill Razor Feathers to injure him.
The vulture monster disappeared from behind him and hid in another cloud.
Hugo couldn't help but smile at its antics, this seemingly intelligent monster was just a bit more sensible, it was really no different from a young child seeking out to play.
"So that's how it is. I will play with you!"
