Chapter 6 - Goal

"It's way better than live plays. The viewers have a much better experience, and it looks more polished. In live plays, one actor's mistake can ruin the whole performance, but with movies, they can reshoot scenes from different angles until everything is perfect. Such high-level production." He murmured to himself, closing his eyes on the bench, lost in thought.

After a few more minutes, he slowly stood up and noticed it was already 4 PM. Keeping his hands in his pockets, he walked back home, his mind still occupied with thoughts of the movie. He thought it was neither great nor terrible—a one-time watch. What fascinated him was the way it was made.

Plays relied solely on the actors, viewed from a single angle. But movies? Actors did only about 60 percent of the work. Even if an actor wasn't great, the crew could enhance the performance with other techniques, and this captivated him.

It didn't take long to reach his apartment. He quickly got inside, removed the mask, and hung it back in its place. After grabbing a quick glass of water, he settled on the couch.

"Hmm, according to that guy's memories, we can watch movies on T.V. using the internet. Let's try it out. I want to see some of the famous ones rather than the mediocre film I just saw."

He turned on the T.V. and connected it to the internet, taking some time to get it right. Once connected, he exhaled in relief and searched for the most popular movie from a few years back, 'Dominator.' It was widely regarded as the best movie in the country by both media and public.

Setting everything up, he started the movie. It was about an alien trying to conquer Earth with its immense power, and the hero's journey to gain enough strength to defeat the alien, ultimately sacrificing himself. The storyline and effects impressed him greatly.

Kim Joon-won was captivated. Compared to the earlier movie, this film was leagues ahead in terms of effects, storyline, and acting.

"The hero, Dongbang Jae, is a master actor. Way better than even me. It seems there are people who can act at such a high level. I have much to improve. Hmm, he's known as the Heavenly King of the previous generation. He retired from acting last year?" He recalled more details about the hero.

Zen Su was never arrogant. Recognizing Dongbang Jae's superior acting only fueled his desire to improve. That humility had made him a good king, and now, it spurred him to become a better actor.

"Hmm, the title 'Heavenly King' is given to the most successful and famous actor of each generation. There are only three such actors in this generation. I'll be the fourth," he smirked, setting his sights high.

He finally set his first significant goal in this new world. Goals were crucial for success, giving a clear direction. His ultimate aim was to become the most famous actor in the world. Compared to his past life's dream of performing for the royal family, he now aimed much higher.

Becoming a Heavenly King was just a checkpoint. These actors were famous only within this country. Beyond its borders were other actors and larger markets to conquer.

"Well, it's already 7 PM. Let's finish dinner quickly and watch another good movie before bed. It seems I need to go to school tomorrow. An art school? This will be interesting—my first time in school in both my lives." He stood up, went to the kitchen, and scooped the rest of the food onto a plate before sitting back on the couch.

Zen Su had never attended a proper school in his old world. As an orphan and poor, he couldn't afford such a luxury and had to work every day before acting to get some food. One of his first acts as king was to open free schools for the poor, earning him immense love from his people.

He never imagined he would have the chance to go to school like a normal person. Now that he had it, he wanted to experience it fully.

After finishing the leftovers from lunch, he cleaned the dishes and sat on the couch with the remote, searching for more good movies to watch.

As he was doing so, he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Taking it out, he examined the device—the most used gadget in the modern era.

"Hmm, why is it vibrating? Wait, someone is calling? Dad?" Seeing the name and picture on the screen, he felt confused.
