The ceremony was proceeding as planned. The banquet hall was lively where attendees began to socialize.
Most of them tried to have a chance to greet Qin Shaoze one way or another in order to establish connection. He didn't stop others to talk to him but he wouldn't be getting out of the way to entertain them.

She thought about going to her grandfather's side to finally act like a proper companion but just before she was about to excuse herself, the ladies began to gossip in low voices.
