Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Li Shaoze came back to the hotel where he was currently staying. He had been in the country for a few days just to wait for the funeral to take place. Now that everything was settled, he could go back to Country E in peace. So he planned to check out the next day.

"Brother, can't you stay here longer?" as if he knew that Li Shaoze would be returning soon, Li Junfeng begged with pitiful voice.

Li Shaoze looked at him in silence before he answered, "I have a company to take care of. So I can't stay long,"

Li Junfeng seemed to expect the answer so he said, "Why can't you relocate? For how many years would you stay in Country E?"

"Forever if I could," Li Shaoze answered simply. He really never intended to come back here if not for Li Junfeng.

"Brother!" Li Junfeng was dissatisfied as he whined. He didn't want to leave his brother's side since only Li Shaoze could see and talk to him. But if he followed Li Shaoze to Country E, he would have to leave Pei Qian and everything behind.

For the sake of fulfilling his regrets, he couldn't leave either Pei Qian or Li Shaoze!

"Anyway, why did you ask me to give her my contact number? I don't think she'll ever reach out to me," Li Shaoze suddenly mentioned the things he was curious about.

Li Junfeng knew he was trying to divert the topic but he left it be for the time being. Li Junfeng only snorted but didn't answer.

Li Shaoze saw that he couldn't get an answer from his brother so he just proceeded to take a shower. He pulled on his tie and took away his black formal suit. The white shirt on his body seemed to be sticking onto his skin and an outline of his muscles was prominent.

Li Junfeng saw Li Shaoze's body shape and his mouth twitched. He knew his brother wasted his time in his gym whenever he wasn't busy. But it was still a sight to envy.

Li Junfeng knew apart from the severe insomnia, Li Shaoze also had an eating disorder. That was why he insisted on hiring a nutritionist and a personal doctor for his brother a few years back. And now Li Shaoze was eating a healthy diet and having a good regular workout, thanks to Li Junfeng's efforts.

Soon after he finished showering, Li Shaoze busied himself with a phone call. There were many conferences he had to attend online since he was away. Zhu Zijin was always on-call with him too.

Seeing that Li Shaoze was busy, Li Junfeng just stared blindly at the way his brother did things. Li Junfeng had to admit that his brother seemed very capable and was a good boss.

Li Junfeng suddenly wondered what would happen to his current position as the vice president of Li Group. He hoped someone who was good at their job could take over.

Unlike Li Shaoze who devoted a hundred percent of his energy to his company that he built on his own, Li Junfeng wasn't really attached to Li Group nor his position. He just felt that it was a duty he had to take since he was the first young master.

Li Junfeng couldn't say that he fully understood his brother's sentiment towards Quze A. Investment. He sometimes became confused because Li Shaoze always stayed up until late at night just so he could work.

However, he appreciated a person's devotion on the company that one built from sweat and tears. He knew it wasn't easy.

"Yes. Postpone it until further notice. The meetings with our clients should be made priority. Tell the secretarial department to make a report..." soon, Li Shaoze hung up after a few more direct orders. He looked up and saw Li Junfeng's fervent gaze.

"What?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Li Junfeng smiled and said, "You look so cool when you're working,"

Li Shaoze didn't say anything. He thought even if Li Junfeng was dead, his mischievous personality still wouldn't change.

"I also heard just now that you postponed going back to Country E. Thank you brother," Li Junfeng grinned happily. He was glad Li Shaoze seemed to take his request into account.

Li Shaoze just nodded and said vaguely, "I should listen to you since it's a given,"

Li Junfeng understood what Li Shaoze meant almost instantly. He just smiled and said no more. He knew Li Shaoze regretted not listening to him much when he was alive. Now he was making up for it.

It was a clumsy show of love but he was content nevertheless. Indeed, regret did fuel one's heart and intention. He better used it to his advantage then.

Suddenly, the door was repeatedly knocked from the outside as if the other person would break it down in minutes. Li Shaoze frowned. It was almost dinnertime but people were still free?

He went up to the door and opened it to see a person he didn't want to see. Li Junfeng was also shocked silly.

"Why didn't you invite me in?" Li Qinfeng said, disgruntled. The sadness he displayed on the funeral in the day had now disappeared.

Li Shaoze kept his silence and had no choice but to invite the middle-aged man in. When Li Qinfeng was seated, he got straight to the point.

"Where did you go all these years? What did you do? How many years has it been... 12 years right,"

"I believe Junfeng once told you that I should be living abroad," Li Shaoze said curtly. He was aware that every time his brother went to Country E to visit him, their father would be notified.

Li Qinfeng squinted his eyes and he looked displeased. Indeed, in his eyes only Li Junfeng was worthy. He was never interested in Li Shaoze's life for more than a decade and he would never be.

He didn't know what Li Shaoze was doing in a competitive country such as Country E. Did he think he could have a better job opportunity there due to its competent industries?

Little did he know, Li Shaoze was now one of the industry leaders in Country E who was also the only non-native, which caused him to be rather famous there. Moreover, his company had also went global across the European continent.

If Li Qinfeng never looked down upon Li Shaoze, maybe he would have known that his son was the person behind Quze A. Investment, which stood alongside the leading subsidiaries of Quze Industries, the biggest rival conglomerate that he had long wanted to have connections with.
