Zhao Yan was immediately caught between the leader and the men who held Pei An hostage. It was such a crucial moment but the tide had changed. He was so mad that he suddenly became increasingly faster.
The tense atmosphere suddenly turned to a standstill. No one moved and the situation was grave.
The leader only realized Zhao Yan's subsequent movements when a cold touch of a dagger was pointed towards his neck. He was terribly shocked but was unable to say a word.
"Leader?!" his men were alerted all of a sudden and the two parties were stuck in a checkmate.
Zhao Yan had secretly snatched their leader's weapon without anyone knowing.

The men looked at their party leader and nodded. Soon, they pushed Pei An away from them and she fell on the ground. Her knees became more battered as they dripped blood.
