Elena left the temple and gazed at the sun, she found no warmth in the sun or happiness. She felt it pointless that the sun rose very early in the morning and traveled across the sky then repeated the same process all over again the very next day.
"Shall we leave?" she asked feeling the presence of her grandmother behind her. She turned around and saw her carrying a dying man in her hand and stopped. She stared at the unconscious man for a long time but there was no familiarity she felt for him. She gazed at him admiring the man's beauty.
'Mine,' she thought in her mind and went over to her grandmother. "Do you need help?" she offered and her grandmother agreed, she handed Esteban over to her and let her carry him.
