"She did it," Lola said pointing her finger at Anika. Esteban followed her hand to see her point at Anika. He had a displeased face. He glared daggers at Anika.
"What?!" Animal asked with disbelief written on her face. She looked unjustly treated and accused falsely. The look on her face made him question whether she was responsible or not.
"Are you sure?" He asked Lola before he could go ahead and do something he might regret to a woman he had started to consider his friend.
"Yes, I'm sure that she is the one who fed me to the sand monster," she stated sternly.
Anika stared at him with pleading eyes, her eyes pleaded with him not to believe her. That she was innocent and he should believe her.
She strode over to him and held his hands, she stared into his eyes. "I haven't done any such thing, Esteban," she said in a pleading voice. "Believe me I haven't done that. Believe in my love that I would never lie to you," she added.
