Baron took a deep breath to prepared himself to step into his marriage. He was very nervous. What if other people laugh at him or put him down? He is not an animagus who deserves to be the great companion of Princess Neyan.
He stared longingly at the hill of flowers that looked beautiful from here. Then he saw a group of servants who were busy bringing gift boxes and various other objects that Baron did not have time to think about them.
Everyone in the palace has been busy preparing everything for Baron's wedding. He felt bad. What would happen if yesterday he refused this marriage? Unconsciously, he touched his neck which was still intact.
Even if he did not get attacked by Neyan, he still would not survive King Valo's punishment either. His life was in danger. Sometimes he feels that life in the human world is safer than in the Emporion.
Even though he had been attacked by the real Catcher, he still felt like he was just playing around with them. The Catcher is evil because it is like his job, being a villain.
Hence, when he got attacked by an animagus from his own world, he feels as if he is not worthy of living.
Baron raised his chin to face everything that lay ahead. His footsteps barely made a sound through the palace corridors. What a very comfortable leather shoe.
He and the palace servants and the maids who followed behind him walked toward a decorated room with red and gold cloth and beautiful flowers.
Baron was asked to pass through the red carpet while bringing a bunch of flowers. He walked into the room.
There was someone in a light blue dress with various decorations that filled her dress from top to bottom, standing in the middle of the room. The lower skirt was very wide. Baron barely recognized that she was Neyan. She looks so beautiful.
Neyan's face was made up in such a way that it looked like an angel. Her hair was in a bun and wore her princess crown which was very luxurious and sparkling in the light.
Her wings were spread wide, while her eyes were closed. Baron could see a sparkling light shining on her from above. The gods are blessing Neyan.
Baron stopped in the middle of the room. He didn't want to spoil that sacred moment. Neyan gasped when he saw the arrival of Baron. She blinked a few times and then smiled sweetly.
She closed her eyes again with lips that still curved a smile. The bright light then finished blessing her. Neyan opened her eyes and folded her wings so that they seemed to disappear behind her back.
A guard announces Baron's presence. Even though he feels awkward, but Baron must step forward and face his destiny.
Baron stepped forward and got on one knee. He said, "Greetings, Princess Neyan."
Neyan walked over. Baron held out a bunch of flowers with both hands. "Please accept this flower, Princess Neyan."
Neyan smiled and then accepted the flower. Baron took Neyan's hand and kissed it.
"Thank you, Baron. Get up, please," said Neyan in a soft voice.
Baron obeyed to rise to his feet. His heart was beating very fast. He felt very awkward when Neyan held his hand tightly. They walked together towards the outside of the room.
"You look very handsome, Baron," whispered Neyan.
Baron turned his head and tried to smile. "You also look so beautiful."
Neyan giggled softly. "Thank you."
White doves and multicolored butterflies flew above them, escorting them to the garden where they would make sacred vows.
Baron felt that Neyan's skin was glowing. Her smile never faded from her face. She waved her hand here and there at everyone.
The traditional Emporion song reverberates to welcome the bride and groom. Somehow Baron felt that the song sounded like a death song to him.
Ministers and other officials rose from their seats and applauded the presence of Baron and Neyan. King Valo and Queen Inayba sit on the throne which was prepared a day before.
An arched gate made of dry wooden twigs awaits them. The garden was very beautifully decorated. Baron watched, every time Neyan took a step, the grass behind her immediately grew flowers.
Neyan has been blessed by the gods. She gots full strength in her body now that makes Baron felt scared. What if Neyan attacked him again like that time? Maybe he will die attack by one of Neyan's wing.
They arrived at the beautiful gate. A priest was ready in their midst. The priest is wearing a tall, dark-blue hat with a lion logo in the center. His attire was a long robe that matched the white stripe and a white belt.
Baron was asked to stand face to face with Neyan. The music changes to a softer tone. Colorful butterflies fluttered around Neyan. Baron felt a little uncomfortable. At least, the butterfly did not approach him at all.
"Greetings to Princess Neyan and Mr. Baron," said the priest, bowing his head in salute. "I am Cavros Kemran as your priest, respectfully request that Mr. Baron and Princess Neyan make sacred promises. Are you ready?"
"Yes. I'm ready," replied Neyan excitedly. Baron only nodded once.
"Okay then, I ask Mr. Baron to say it first."
Baron cleared his throat. He had been studying the words for the past two days. Hopefully, he doesn't forget it.
"I am Baron Parcival Jaugusta Radmarelon. I promise before the priest, king, queen of Emporion Land, and all the witnesses in this place. I will accept you, Princess Neyan Scmyrea Kruanaz Valo, as my wife from now on and forever, well joy and sorrow, both sad and happy, both healthy and sick. This I promise you."
Baron let out a sigh of relief. He managed to say it in one breath. Now it's Neyan's turn. She smiled sweetly and then said a holy promise.
"I am Princess Neyan Scmyrea Kruanaz Valo. I promise before the priest, king, queen of Emporion Land, and all the witnesses in this place. I will accept you, Baron Parcival Jaugusta Radmarelon, as my husband from now on and forever, well joy and sorrow, both sad and happy, both healthy and sick. This I promise you."
The priest then raised his hand. "That way I say that from today you are official as husband and wife."
Everyone applauded loudly, including King Valo and Queen Inayba. Then King Valo got up and approached them. The priest stepped aside to make room for the king.
A servant brought an amazing crown that was kept on a maroon pillow with golden hangers on the four corners. Baron was amazed at the crown.
Baron knelt on both feet while lowering his head. King Valo cleared his throat, asking everyone's attention.
"I crown you, My Son-In-Law, Baron Parcival Jaugusta Radmarelon, as a prince. This is a special title I have given you. One day you must lead this land in wisdom and peace."
King Valo took the crown and then put it on the head of Baron.
