I couldn't believe what I saw. It was as if my own two eyes were trying to convince me it was real, but my mind was fighting it, saying I must have gone crazy. Why would Ali have magical powers? That shouldn't be the case right now.
"I see you are in a state of shock, Lizzie," Ali said as she put out the flames with a flick of her hands, "I understand though. I know this would be a bit too much to process in one go, so just as I had listened to you last night, I will wait until you are ready to talk to me."
My hands were shaking, unable to control the shock that I was going through. I opened my mouth to ask her a question, but the words weren't coming out right. I kept on mumbling incoherent words – they didn't even mean anything.
"Come on, Lizzie," Ali said as she waved over towards a dead tree stump, "Let's sit over here and calm down for a bit. Inhale and exhale the shock out of your system."
