After the great war, The human race who won dominated most of the continent.
But before all of this; ever since the beginning, the human race was always at the bottom rank when it comes to power out of all races.
They are weaker in innate prowess, but in exchange, they have the most creative minds.
As a sole human is a weak existence, they prefer to huddle into one big group.
Mankind built big and sturdy structures to protects itself from external threats.
Then eventually, created a society and environment called a "city".
Crafty nature of the human also caused their discovery of an existence of a far superior "beings".
Based on the human anthology, these beings are a seemingly omnipotent ancient race.
They seem to have already roamed the world even before any other creatures existed.
However, these said beings would preferably stay away from trouble and just watch as the world goes on.
Humans started praising and worshipping them after realizing their ethereal presence and unimaginable power.
Humans named these beings "gods".
Two of these beings, bored for their almost-unending lives started favoring the humans after being especially worshiped.
Over time, these two beings turned into genuine gods, assisting and protecting humans when they plead.
The other races that are usually prideful, just let these "inferior" humans be.
However, humans keep advancing in their "technology", while the other races stayed the same for thousands of years.
From a city, they grew into a "kingdom".
As the human race is at its peak, they finally decided that it's time for them to turn the world around.
The very first one they targeted as per their god's words was the fairy race.
The fairy race is the longest living creatures of all, next to the "gods".
They are small creatures that prefer to live out in nature, and just play around.
Although they are but small, they possess magic that can manipulate nature itself.
As their bodies are fully made out of mana, they don't need to consume anything to survive, unlike the other races.
Because of that very property, they don't age and can exist as long as they can breathe the mana in the air.
There are many kinds of fairies, branded by human common sense.
Those who like being in the water are called "water fairies".
Since they like water so much that they live in it for all their lives, they can naturally raise the tides and cause tsunamis, only if they want to.
Those who like being near the fire are called "fire fairies".
They like the heat so much that they live in fiery and lava-filled volcanoes.
Their powers naturally revolve around fire, thus, making them the scariest fairies of all.
If they want it to, they could destroy the surroundings by raining it with fire and lava.
The ones who prefer living underground are then identified as "earth fairies" that can shake the ground, break the earth, and cause them to slide and level the earth.
While the last one, the group who lives in the sky are then recognized as "wind fairies" that can summon tornados and blizzard.
But an unnoticed flaw.
Their powers that should be unequal to any other races made them uninterested in other affairs outside their amusement.
And their child-like nature that just prefers to play around makes them seen by the humans as the stupidest race of all.
With the help of their gods, humans created a spell that can enslave creatures that live solely in "mana", specifically the fairy race.
This spell works by tempting the innocent fairies in creating a "contract" that the receiving party unconsciously uses their magic to seal themselves.
These "contracted" fairies, then become part of the human's power as the poor fairy becomes unable to do anything but abide by all the words of the human they "contracted" to.
This spell eventually became something humans call "fairy magic", as they literally use the fairy's magic for themselves.
Although because of the limited magic humans possess, utilizing the full powers of these fairies will cause their "contract" to break apart.
But even with that limitation, humans became the most fearsome race as they now both possess their natural creative minds and the fairy's power.
Over time, as the fairies are childlike and forgetful in nature, they keep getting "contracted" by the humans.
Humans then branded themselves as the "god's" chosen race and started becoming more ambitious.
While the other races are still ignorant of the human's newfound power, the next race they targeted is the dwarfs.
This race that has a shorter but sturdier physique compared to humans, prefers to dig underground and search for colorful gems and precious minerals.
They gather in small groups, only with their family members, and enjoy drinking liquor that the humans previously exchange for their gems and precious minerals.
As they start to realize what is going on, the humans already started their move.
They captured the dwarfs using the newfound "fairy magic", and forced them to search for the gems and precious minerals hidden under the earth for the human's greedy sake.
Over time, these slaved dwarves became the human's main miner and craftsman.
Currently, humans and dwarfs appear to live in harmony but the fact of the dark past can't fully be buried by sweet lies.
As intelligent as humans, they are aware of creatures that prefer to live in the mountains and settle in tribes.
There are countless different "kinds" of them, that have different animalistic characteristics and are spread around the world in their own villages.
But the most commonly known to humans are those with cat, dog, and bunny characteristics.
The humans that now grew a big pride, see these creatures as an "ignorant bunch who lives in the boondocks" and simply identify them as one race.
"Beast-man" was then referred to them as they are "men with beast's characteristics"
These said villages were then, invaded once discovered.
Beastman originally have far stronger physics and possesses their respective "beast's" powers but compared to humans, they are far lesser in numbers.
As strange as these creatures are, humans, especially tyrant ones in autocracy see them as wonderful "trophies" and "collect" them as their play slaves.
Appalled by the human's surge in reigning power, the "elves" who have the closest characteristic to humans finally became aware of the possible trouble to their kind.
This long-eared race that preferred to live upon the trees panicked.
Aredhel, a certain elven clan's strongest bowman usually gets quite interested in human's technologies and would spy at a distance.
After seeing the possible incoming invasion, he used the "humanly" knowledge and gathered several other clans.
He is a respected marksman even in these clans that are proficient in using a bow and arrow and thus, easily became the leader of the newly established elven force.
Aredhel knew that the humans suddenly grew more confident when they found their "gods".
Aredhel is clever and mischievous thought of the words "an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth"
He started searching for existence to act as their "god" just like the humans did.
He kept pleading with the mountains, trees, and creeks for a miracle and finally found a certain superior being.
This superior being loved to settle in nature and is only amused by taking care of animals.
Aredhel told everything he knows about the human race and pleaded with the superior being to save his kind.
This being who found out that her beloved animals might get in an unpredictable situation at the hands of these "humans" decided to extend her help.
In exchange, she ordered Aredhel's race not to harm animals in any way.
Thus, started the elven race's vegetarian diet and animal-cohabitation behavior.
Over the long run, all the elven clans that were gathered by Aredhel decided to finally unite and get identified as one.
Thus created the elven kingdom.
Named after the founder, "Aredhel" became the official name of the kingdom and naturally, ruled by Aredhel himself.
The elves, now capable of protecting each other and with the help of their newly recognized "goddess" fended off the first human invasion.
With their superior eyesight and mountainous-terrain maneuvering ability, they created the "elven mountain".
The mountain became a natural fortress that keeps humans from ever entering.
But as the war keeps on, elves who are fewer compared to humans found themselves starting to lose.
Aredhel who foresaw this asked his "goddess" for help.
This "goddess" that secretly keeps sheltering beastman tribes, as she found them similar to her beloved animals found a force that might help Aredhel.
"Phanterians" a tribe of the beastman race that excels in speed and night sneaking abilities was introduced.
This tribe became the elite force against the human race and assassinated their high officials to lower their morale.
Mankind's "gods" that witnessed this became aware of the elf's goddess.
Thinking that they might get into a certain agreement as both sides are of the same "kind", they decided to talk things out.
After a long discussion, they finally concluded.
However, as the elf's goddess is but alone, she got the short end of the whole agreement.
While it is decided that mankind's deities have to strictly instruct their subjects not to start a war with the elves, she was, however, banished to another continent.
She reluctantly agreed as she foresaw that fighting them would definitely sink the whole continent along with her beloved races.
Unknowingly, the continent she was banished into to was inhabited by a new and never-seen-before race.
"Demons", as they call themselves.
This race is far superior in handling magic and also has unimaginably strong physiques.
The poor goddess that was disheartened got discovered by the "demons" and was hailed as their mightiest being.
And for a while, there was finally peace in the continent where the other races live.
But the unpredictable humans found themselves bored.
As for their sly and greedy nature, they decided to expand their empire towards other lands.
Perchance, some humans discovered the continent the poor goddess was thrown into.
Riding their greed and overflowing confidence, decided to harm the local inhabitants and was defeated instead.
Because of that, they now know the existence of this race called "demons".
As this new race was not included in the "god's agreement", they decided to once again cause trouble.
The human king Haleth became restless as his forces can't seem to even hold a candle with these "demons", plead with his gods to do something about it.
The gods that now became aware that their favorite humans got defeated, never the less by the continent where their opponent was banished into, saw this as a threat.
A threat that the banished goddess might have caused all of this and is planning a revolt.
The poor goddess was one-sidedly labeled as the "demon's lord"
Mankind's gods finally decided to slay the innocent goddess to end the human threat, once and for all.
The innocent goddess who was suddenly labeled as a traitor to their agreement naturally became angered and fought back.
But the goddess was not alone, after being hailed as the Demon's "mightiest one", they dauntlessly assisted the goddess in the fight.
Humans, now briefly free from the reigns of their god's order, also started a war with the elven kingdom.
Naturally, as the time of peace gave the elves leverage to grow their strength, they fought back in an almost equal strength with mankind.
Both the gods in the heavens and the men below fought the war to end it all.
Thus, in the human anthology, this occurrence was later recorded as the "Great war"
Ultimately, the animal-loving goddess was lost as her forces only contain the Demon race that no matter how superior, can't be compared to the beings called "gods".
"..."
"Thou shalt vanish"
An ethereal voice came from a golden-haired beautiful man while looking down at the goddess that's lying on the ocean.
The goddess's pure white hair floats freely on the surface of the water.
Her beautiful and vibrant red eyes look fiercely at the two floating figures above.
One of the floating figures is a man with short golden hair and one is a woman with long silver hair.
A tear slowly fell from the eye of the pitiful goddess as she slowly looks to her side.
The demon's continent is now slowly sinking under the surface of the water.
She slowly closed her eyes in a heart-wrenching sorrowful expression.
The two above just look with somewhat pity and regretful eyes as they watch at her slowly ending life.
The other gods already lowered their guards as they already won the battle but suddenly, the white-haired goddess' body emits a blinding light.
"What thou hath doth?!"
This time, a beautiful woman with silver hair asked in an angered tone with a visible shock shown on her face as if she can't believe what is going on.
The two floating figures slowly turned stiff and started falling to the sea.
Surely a death of a goddess is not that easy.
With her dying last breath, she sealed the two gods into stones.
While they did not die, they also can't do anything.
The white-haired goddess slowly vanishes into small glowing pieces.
"I shalt return to thee min leof"
But before she was completely gone, she left a few words that were never heard.
I shall return to you my precious...
"..."
The horizon turned warm-orange as the sunsets.
The demon continent vanished without even leaving a trace.
No men witnessed the god's fight but the missing demon continent alone is the evident result of the fierce battle of omnipotent powers.
The human race on the other hand also finally defeated the elves.
The Elven king was publicly executed.
Some elves scattered throughout the mountains to hide but most of them turned into slaves.
Even until now, they have the lowest rights in society. Lowest to none.
Mankind finally became the top among all races and they grew more and more.
But in the long run, since they have already eliminated the external threats, an inner conflict sparked among themselves.
The human empire that dominated the continent was ultimately split into seven kingdoms.
These seven kingdoms competed against each other for hundreds of years, continuing the blood spilling even after losing their gods and finally having their desired dominance.
Human war happens ever so often as they battled viciously for territorial advantage and dominance until ultimately, four of them were left.
These four human kingdoms then created a non-aggression pact and the warring period finally ended, bringing peace to the continent.
As the former biggest force mankind ever had, the empire's name was never forgotten and was even given into the continent they are living in as its name.
"Udiolas continent" as it is widely called.
Udiolas, even until now dominated by mankind was further continues being developed.
And so the warring period ended, raising culture dominated among mankind's top priority.
Human kingdoms turned bigger and more lavish as time goes on and new ideas to help make lives more convenient were born every single day.
Nowadays, the poor animal-loving goddess was degraded into something called the "Demon Lord"
The one who led a vicious army of a race called demons to fight with their gods and even sealed them in the bottom of the ocean.
They hated this "Demon Lord" so much that it turned into a story to scare naughty children to listen to their parents after all these years.
"..."
On top of a pointy mountain, a man is standing still while looking at the distance.
"Ma, Pa..."
A young man with cat-like ears standing on top of his head looks at something with his slant eyes while knitting his eyebrows.
There's nothing to be seen in the distance that the man is looking at.
If it was a human's perspective we are talking about that is, but this one is a beastman.
A pantherian to be exact. His eyesight can easily see in the distance and detected a man-made structure.
"Humans..."
His eyebrows knitted unconsciously while feeling his anger that's welling inside.
He keeps staring while thinking just how did humans found their location? And from what kingdom did they came from.
He keeps thinking but can't figure out from which human country uses the sun and the two moons on their flag?
It's not that big of a surprise since he already knew that his tribe is hiding from humans since the beginning.
But why now? He was born and lived in his village all this time but no humans came.
Just how did they found out about their location?
In his eyes, the human city was being sighted and he grits his teeth in loath in the thought that humanity is living their comfortable lives in there while his tribe has to flee and hide every time.
"...?"
On the corner of his vision, he detected a bluish round figure running fast towards this mountain he's at.
"Ma!"
His eyes lit up and he suddenly vanished from where he's standing.
"..."
His figure can't almost be seen while running very fast soundlessly, descending the mountain.
His blurred figure spews throughout the woods while dodging roots, big rocks, and animals.
He keeps running while thinking about the state of his father after they left him facing those armored humans.
"Ma!"
Without even more than five minutes, he meets up with the blue running object that he saw from the distance earlier.
"Y-yuka?! Why did you come? I told you to protect the tribe!"
Inside a blue sphere, a woman showed a shocked expression after being called out by the young man.
"Father?..."
Yuka asked while running along with her mother back to where he just came from.
"Thankfully he's alive. But what happened to what I ordered you to?!"
"Is he going to be okay?..."
"This child! He's going to be fine! He's the strongest, you know that! Where are the others?"
Morticia started getting angry but she knows that her son is genuinely worried about his father.
After helping her tribe hide, she immediately returned to their village to search for his husband.
Her heart was unsettled the whole time as she might already be too late after getting there.
When she arrived, she saw the village that she grew up being in tatters and there's not even a sign of the one she called home anymore.
Tears kept falling from her eyes but she has to find her husband.
Thankfully, she can easily detect living things by feeling the mana in the air and found her husband in the center of the village.
"B-Blair..."
She ran and arrived to find her husband bathed in blood.
There are also a lot of humans dead around the ground.
She held her mouth with her hands and tears kept falling as her heart wretched while seeing her husband in such a situation.
She ran towards him and kept holding on to the feeling of her detection magic.
Even she herself can't believe her husband was left alive while looking at him.
His throat has already been slit but her detection still points that he's alive.
She immediately used her healing magic to raise her husband's survival.
After she felt his breathing turned stable, she used her mana to wrap him tightly and immediately left, thinking that humans might come again finishing her husband.
She was at ease with her tribesmen since she already left her son, Yuki to guard them.
But why did he come?
"Did you do as I said?"
"I found a place where humans will find hard to enter..."
"Good..."
Their previous village was already pretty hard to find so how did humans find them?
They stayed there for a long time already since there's a creek near it and humans never came. Until now.
Yuka keeps taking glances at the glowing blue floating sphere behind her mother.
His father should be protected inside there.
They soon arrived at the location of their other tribesmen after crossing a difficult path even for them.
With this, humans should find it hard to send an army here like last time.
"Chief?!"
"It's Morticia!"
"Is he safe?!"
Worried voices came from the tribesmen after seeing the incoming figures of Yuka and Morticia from the distance.
"Hey, they're here. It must be safe to come out for now"
"Maybe..."
The pantherians reluctantly came out from where they are hiding to welcome their chief and his family.
Right after the three arrived, Morticia ordered her son to use healing magic that he inherited from her to sustain Blair's faint life.
Her disciple, Jiji also partake in using her newly obtained healing magic to help.
They took turns in using healing magic until Blair finally showed signs of his consciousness.
"Thank goodness..."
Morticia was relieved but she also knows that her husband received a lot of permanent scars and handicaps.
That worried her but seeing her husband alive made her delighted enough.
After looking around they realized that the place they were hiding should be relatively safe from the humans so decided to settle there to let the old and young ones feel at ease.
Yuka also showed everyone the place he discovered where he can see the human cities from every direction.
They then decided to assign men to keep watch so they can flee once again before humans get to their location.
For a week, they started rebuilding their village in this new location.
Unfortunately, they can't raise and eat fish since there are no rivers or even creeks near.
But they started feeling that they are slowly returning to how they used to be in their previous village.
Unfortunately, they lost their strongest force.
Their chief, the strongest among them retained the scars after being left in jeopardy in the hands of the humans.
But they are very thankful for saving all of them so they left to him the chief title.
Morticia who's the only one who can communicate with him became the chief's ears and mouth while Yuka who received training from him and also inherited Morticia's talents in using magic became his body.
Hence, he was still able to work a portion of what he used to do as the chief before.
It was peaceful in the new pantherian village until news from the group at the lookout spot reported that something strange appeared near them.
They said that a stable footing was slowly being made from the foot of the mountain coming from the direction of the human settlements.
But they don't see any armored human men around.
The group at the lookout spot was asked to withdraw for the time being while Yuka, as the chief's body, has to investigate the strange occurrence.
They stationed the tribesmen who have the sharpest eyesight in the village entrance's big trees to watch out for the lookout spot so that they could flee if there really is a threat.
"..."
After carefully assessing the mana left behind the "stairs" that suddenly appeared on the mountain, Yuka concluded that only one person made it. It was even made consistently at that.
He lurks in the dark while watching out for any humans hiding around, but found none.
"...?"
Yuka suddenly felt a surge of mana on top of the mountain when a snake suddenly attacked him.
He defeated it in an instant and moved a bit closer to observe the thing that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
There, he saw a strange-looking structure standing on the spot where they usually watch out for humans.
It looks strange. It doesn't resemble the structures humans built. What is it?
He used detection magic and felt a presence in it.
"It's not human..."
He muttered.
He felt a presence of a human only once but he won't ever forget about the disgusting aura they were emitting.
The presence that he can feel inside the strange-looking structure on the other hand feels so weird.
It feels just like the children in his tribe.
It gives an easygoing and free-spirited aura with no single trace of greed.
But it also has a hint of terrified, longing, cautious, and other strange feelings Yuka can't even describe.
"...What should I do?..."
Yuka murmured.
After contemplating for a while, he decided to ask for advice from his mother.
"...Ma"
"Yuka! You came back?"
"Yes... It doesn't seem to be a human..."
"What? Then what is it? What is it doing?"
"It seems to be sleeping..."
"Is that so... what do you think is it?"
"A child..."
"Child?... What do you mean? But you determined it's not something dangerous right? You came back unscathed after all"
"...umn"
Yuka nodded.
"I understand, you must be wondering what should we do about it. For now, I will ask your father's opinion"
Morticia touched Blair's shoulders and went silent.
"..."
"..."
Yuka waited for her mother to finish conversing using telepathy with his father.
"..."
He watches his father's scars with pride while there's also a feeling that he can't describe welling inside him.
He must regret that his father can no longer do what he wanted.
He recalls his father's mighty figure while teaching him how to hunt and also trained him to figure out his innate abilities.
For Yuka, those were the most memorable moments of his childhood.
Now, he can't even hear his father's voice or talk to him directly.
Thankfully, his mother has a lot of skills. Telepathy is one of them so they can still somehow communicate.
After that, Yuka's mother passed on the decision of his father to observe the presence closely and if possible, meet with them to know what they are doing here.
"Yuka, be careful. We don't know if we are the ones who trespassed who's territory. What if they view us as someone who stole their land. We need to apologize and if possible, do some bargaining agreement"
"Umn..."
"I'm going to stay here in case something happens. I trust that you will come back in one piece. You are Blair's son after all"
"...yours too"
"Hahaha... That's right. Be careful"
Yuka precipitously ran towards the lookout point since he's afraid that he will lose his sneaking advantage when the sun rises.
Unfortunately, the sky already started to get bright. Any moment and the sun will soon come out from the horizon.
He can only hope that no fight will break out.
"..."
Yuka felt no moving reaction at the presence inside the strange structure so he moved quite closer.
Upon a closer look, the structure turned out more peculiar.
This touched the trinket of Yuka.
The presence inside seems to be sleeping so it must be a structure built as a shelter. It should be a house.
It is in a rectangular outline compared to his tribe's usual round houses but Yuka can't think of any other possible purpose for this structure.
He hasn't seen the human houses closely but he's sure that it doesn't look similar to what he has seen in their cities from afar.
Yuka finds it even bigger than their house in their previous village and he thought that was the biggest one he saw until seeing this up close.
"..."
The structure might look strange to him but there's something in it that Yuka finds very interesting.
It must be that it looks simple and elegant but he doesn't know how to put it in words.
He was lost in thought when the door slowly opens and a head pops out.
He never felt any hostility so he even forgot to keep track of the presence inside.
What Yuka first notice is its red-colored eyes. Then he notices a boy with facial features that gives an indescribable feeling.
"..."
His eyes slowly landed on the boy's hair and found out that it looks white. He finds it weird as he never met anyone with such hair or eye color.
Pantherian ears?
The boy has ears that look familiar yet strange for him.
White...
"..."
What is this boy?
"..."
Did he do this?
"Umm..."
Yuka keeps being puzzled and looks at the house once again.
"..."
It's so big... Did he build this? There's no other presence around so it must be this boy...
"Umm..."
He looks at the boy again and felt the strange feeling he keeps receiving while looking at him.
He looks so small...
Why do I feel that I need to protect him?
He should be the one who did this... But how?
Yuka keeps feeling complicated inside but then remembers her mother's orders to ask what this boy doing here.
"Umm..."
He heard the boy's meek voice but Yuka already started asking him.
"What did you do to my tribe's lookout spot?"
Yuka is usually uptight with his words that's why he can't even make any friends among his tribe.
Even after Ma's orders not to anger the other party, he can't suddenly change his stiff personality and as his father's body, he needs to do this instead.
The poor boy then stutters while trying to apologize.
"I-I'm very sorry, I did not know that this place was something important to you and audaciously set up a camp. Don't worry, I will take this down this instant! I did not mean any harm..."
The boy pleads with his eyes slightly moist his back getting smaller while Yuka was more taken back by how this boy called this huge structure a "camp"
"Camp..."
The camp Yuka knew was nothing this lavish.
How can a petite boy call this a camp? As he thought, did this not made this? But how?
"What kind of creature are you?"
Was the thing that came out of his mouth as if it was a normal thing to say.
"A-I'm a pantherian too like you! I'm very sorry okay, please let me off the hook this one time"
The boy said but Yuka's lie-detecting magic pointed out that it was a disgusting thing called a lie.
Yuka was very curious about how did this boy turn into his kind.
It must be mimic magic that those disgusting and sly humans would use.
Arriving at that thought, the look of his father after being left in jeopardy in the hand of the humans flashed in his mind.
Suddenly, his boiling loath went out of control and started attacking the boy.
"Lies!"
Yuka would only try to scare the boy to reveal his true nature when Yuka suddenly felt a strong magic burst in the boy's aura.
In the end, the boy dodged Yuka's attack.
"..."
"W-wait! Stop! Can't we just talk this out?!"
"You avoided my attack..."
Yuka can't believe that this small boy can dodge an attack that even his fellow tribesmen can't see.
As I thought. Is he a spy to hunt my Pa again? They are still not satisfied after what they have done to him and my village?!
Yuka's anger already clouded his mind.
He keeps attacking but the boy keeps dodging in a hair's breadth as if playing with him.
Yuka keeps getting impatient and attacked fiercely with his kick attack that even his father could not dodge.
The boy tried to block it with his arms but Yuka remembered his father's figure in the boy while doing that.
So he made a split-second decision to attack the boy's side with his right claw but instead, his claws numbed after getting in contact with the boy.
The boy smashed the wall and tore a hole in it.
"Ghaaa?!"
Just how strong is that petite-looking boy?
"..."
Yuka keeps getting puzzled by the strange boy when he realized the boy did not even try to attack back when Yuka could feel that the boy could definitely land one if he wants to.
Does the boy doesn't want to fight? That's strange...
If he wants to, the boy could have killed him right then and there.
"Strong... Strange..."
Yuka murmurs while watching his right paw that's throbbing in pain.
This woke yuka up from his clouded judgment and finally remembers his mother's order to make peace.
Did I anger the boy?
Yuka canceled his beast transformation.
He holds his throbbing hand behind his back and slowly walked towards the hole.
His eyebrows unconsciously knitted while trying to see the state of the boy through the thick cloud of dust.
Am I too late to make peace?...
Yuka thought.
Yuka calmly came out of the hole while thinking about what he should do when the boy started pleading at him.
"I'm sorry I lied! But I honestly don't mean any harm... Please stop before anyone gets hurt! P-please, I don't want to hurt you! I promise I will never do it again! Please let me off the hook just this once! I-"
"You... you did not even use your true strength and brushed off all my attacks. If you're not a pantherian... what are you?"
As yuka thought, the petite-looking boy could hurt him if he wants to, but why won't he do it?
He also admits that he lied when he said he's a pantherian, so just what is the truth about this boy?
Is he really a human?
But humans that Yuka knows don't show this kind of attitude.
"I-I'm a human! I'm sorry I disguised! Honestly, I already sensed you earlier and decided to do that so I could lower your guard. But please don't misunderstand, I don't really mean any harm Honestly, I've been longing to talk with a person all this while! All I keep seeing are trees and beasts so I even looked forward to talking with you! But then, you did not even let me explain myself and started attacking! I was also just about to leave even without anyone telling me to!"
The petite-looking boy admitted that he's a human. But why did Yuka did not detect a single lie with his ability?
"It seems like you're telling the truth..."
How come Yuka's loathsome views on humans did not pass on to this boy?
"What kind of business for a human like you to come here? How did you find this place?"
Yuka thought that if this boy is a human, he must have some ulterior motives for coming here.
"Ahhh...About that... To tell you the truth, I'm hopelessly ignorant of this world. When I came to be, I was in the middle of nowhere. I then decided to set out and find human settlement but somehow got lost. I honestly just climb the mountain out of the whim. But if you let me off the hook, I will bring everything back to normal of this place and head out to a human town that we can see from here..."
Again... It's the truth...
But Yuka can't let this boy go even if he starts acting viciously and kill him.
He can't let any other human know about their location or they might all die this time.
So Yuka decided to let this boy come along with him back to his tribe.
Yuka thought the boy would refuse but instead, the boy was obedient and even did as he said to take down the "camp" and bring back everything to normal at the lookout point.
The boy did it in almost an instant but Yuka managed to take a glimpse at the interior of the "camp".
It was very strange-looking but it also gave the feeling of simplicity and elegance that Yuka can't even explain.
Yuka watched regretfully as the "camp" returned to the earth.
Later, what Yuka found out was even more shocking.
The boy is so kind and clumsy that Yuka can't explain the feeling inside his heart while looking at him.
But Yuka never would have imagined that the petite-looking boy was from another world!
A peaceful world that is so different from the world he knew!
Another world... I wish it was like that here too...
He was so glad that he gets to live with this boy and hear more stories about the amazing world he came from.
Adding to Yuka's amazement, the boy even healed his father even after only meeting him once.
He feels so thankful and thought that he would do anything to be kind and befriend him.
He massaged the boy's shoulders after the boy healed his father and noticed that he must have had a stiff neck for staying in the same position for a bit of time.
That night, the boy keeps telling interesting stories about his world and even gave Yuka his own room so he thought that he should somehow show his appreciation.
That's when the boy said he would take a bath.
Yuka thought that he should help the boy wash his back.
But Yuka found himself standing in front of the door not knowing what to say.
"Um, Yuka? What are you doing?"
"Bath..."
"Huh?"
"..."
Yuka is not used to talking and is easily shy. He can't even do what he wanted to repay the boy's kindness.
Yuka grabbed his courage and finally decided to open the door.
"Wait?!"
"...?"
What Yuka witnessed inside was the young boy's baby-like skin. It is flawless and looks so soft and it is giving Yuka a good feeling he doesn't understand.
The towel wrapped on the boy's lower body landed on the floor.
"..."
"Ahh"
Yuka slowly looks down.
Yuka felt a stimulation he never felt before and don't know what to do with it.
Yuka felt his ears is slowly heating up.
"...sorry"
He doesn't know what to do so he only left one word and slowly close the bathroom door.
"..."
"AHHHHHHHHH!"
Yuka turned silent while thinking that he might have angered the boy.
What should I do?....
