"HELP!!!" That was the last thing Esmee could remember, before she woke up in a hospital bed.
"Oh look, she's awake!" Someone said excitedly. It took a few minutes for Esmee's eyes to focus.
"Savannah?" She croaked. "Where am I?"
"Sequoia Hospital." Valentina replied as she came into Esmee's field of view.
"What happened?"
"Jason and Liera came back. If you hadn't yelled, you might have very well ended up dead. We were able to overpower both of them, killing Liera, but Jason is still out there." Shilo replied.
"You were hurt." Hunter said, coming up next to Esmee. "Badly. The hospital in Halter is well equipped, but none of the staff had the skills to treat you. So, you were brought here."
"How badly?" She dared to ask.
"Broken bones." Claudia replied, laying a blanket over her. "Fractured ribs, bruising to the spinal cord and a concussion."
"So, it looks like I will be out of commission for a while." Esmee replied as Hunter came a little too close.
"Those look like bite marks." He commented as Esmee tried to move away. "Please stay still. Yup, those are bite marks."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Yes." Genifer replied, "Very bad, especially for the Pair of Triplets prophecy."
"Can it be reversed?" Esmee asked, panicked.
"It's been less than six hours." Hunter replied. "It should be possible with a blood transfusion."
"Let's do it then." Esmee decided.
"I will go get the nurse." Fletcher replied.
