Evan lay under the thick leaves. Several times, Olivia wiped her bloody and bruised face with a moistened leaf.
"Ouch!" Evan winced in pain as Olivia wiped his cheek.
"Don't move yet." Olivia kept cleaning the young man's face. "Fortunately the leaf texture of these plants is similar to cotton, so it can be used for first aid."
Evan laughed a little bitterly. "An interesting trivia."
Kara came to the two of them with puffy eyes. However, instead of saying something, the girl just looked down in silence.
Evan forced a smile on his face. "Never mind, Kara. It wasn't your fault. Now I can accept what happened. I know you did that to save me."
Kara started to sob. "But ...."
