"Fiona, please accept my love." A bespectacled man wearing a neat shirt handed Fiona a bouquet of roses. The workers in the restaurant, all women in aprons, looked on, grinning and whispering. The visitors who were there stared at the scene with expressions of interest.
Fiona blinked at the bouquet of red flowers. The man had come to the restaurant several times and confessed his love, but this was the first time he had brought flowers. Fiona, who doesn't understand why earthlings use flowers as a tool to express love, finally smiles broadly.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Adams." Fiona said in a friendly voice. "What would you like to order today?"
"I've told you so many times, call me by my first name, Gideon." The man sighed. "And I'm not here because I want to eat."
Fiona glanced at the clock on the wall. It was a few minutes past five. "Ah, my shift for today is over. Goodbye, Mr. Adams. Please order through another waiter."
"Hey, wait."
