Kofi's mouth formed a big O as she walked into the school. Domino's techy voice spoke in her head, " You should hurry up master. Registration closes in an hour ". Kofi put on a serious face as she walked further into the school.
She was surprised when she was stopped by a floating white machine shaped like a diamond, " State your business ". Kofi wanted to say something but Domino stopped her, " Let me handle this master. Machine to machine ".
[ She's so sensible ] There was silence for about thirty seconds when the gem shaped robot spoke out, " Welcome Kofi. Please follow me to the registration area ". Kofi was pleased and happily followed after it.
" What did you say to it "? " It's hard to explain ". Kofi nodded, " Are the police on my tail yet "? Whiskers shook his head, " No, not yet. They're looking for a black haired girl, not a red head. Very smart to change your hair colour ".
Kofi laughed nervously, " Yeah, that was definitely what I had in mind " [ So not cos I hate the original colour ] the conversation ended when she was taken to a capsule shaped machine.
" Please step into the capsule. The machine will screen you through to see whether your capable or not ". Kofi nodded, cautiously stepping into the capsule. She flinched when a blue light suddenly scanned her. Realizing it didn't hurt, she calmed down.
Kofi stepped out and on to the other side of the capsule. " Congratulations on passing the test master. The school information and codes have been successfully downloaded unto my system ".
Kofi didn't really know what that was but she was okay with it, " Am I supposed to be paying for anything Domino "? " Affirmative, shall I pay them for you "? Kofi stroked Whiskers head, " Of course, pay for the entire year. Actually pay for two and whatever else you feel is necessary ".
Kofi breathed out and smiled, " The feeling of having money is so much fun...I must enjoy it while it lasts ". Whiskers sighed as Kofi giggled to herself, " Domino withdraw half of what is left in the account and into your space. Will that be possible "?
" Transaction almost complete ". Kofi shook her head from side to side, " You're so helpful. I'm lucky to have you ". Kofi thought she heard Domino laugh but she received a new notification, " Amount of 5 000, 000 versi successfully received ". Kofi could already see people up ahead, " Destroy every record of what I've spent today and instead back track it to that useless Uncle of mines' account ".
Whiskers frowned slightly, " Did you forget you already killed him "? Kofi only smirked, " Exactly why I'm doing this. A dead man can't defend himself ". Whiskers shuddered slightly [ I nearly forgot why she's called a demoness ] " And besides, I'd be getting revenge for the other Kofi ".
" Hurry up fresh meat, the introduction's about to start ". Kofi didn't have much of a choice as she was pushed forward with the crowd. Kofi held Whiskers with one hand as she tried to create a sort of personal space bubble, " Too close ".
Whiskers choked on his laughter as he watched Kofi struggle with the sudden physical contact. The crowd calmed down and Kofi had finally become comfortable in the tiny space bubble she'd managed to make.
There was silence as a tall man with brown hair and black eyes spoke, he had a long scar across his left eye going from his temple to the tip of his nose. The man was intimidating and Kofi could see the shaky legs of the people around her, trying so hard not to collapse.
" You lot are the best in at least one field. Here at G.E.M.S we will do our best to refine those skills and help you become your generations finest in as many fields as possible. Do remember that you must remain strong and there is no room for the weak ".
Kofi yawned lightly, mumbling to herself " Let's get to the blowing up part ". Someone collapsed, getting Kofi as well as everyone else's attention. The girl had pale pink hair and yellow eyes and was visibly trembling.
The others murmured and whispered while the instructor stared at her with obvious disapproval. Kofi scratched her head lightly as she sighed, deciding to help her up. Kofi held her by the arm and was about to pull her up when the instructor spoke.
" Leave her alone freshman ", Kofi frowned looking down at the girl " But she doesn't seem alright. She won't last much longer under this sort of pressure ". The instructor scoffed, " Then she's not worthy. Now back away freshman ".
Kofi sighed as let the girl go, " You're right and all but I suddenly feel like helping ". Kofi suddenly yanked the girl up, princess style and locked eyes with the instructor, " Do me a favor and don't tell me what to do ever again ".
