"Ok, now stop talking and start doing your work, if you want to be safe from your mother".
"What do you mean?" as soon as Jane questioned Grace, she saw her mother glaring at her through the window just like a ghost. Her expressions looked as if she was planning the ways she was going to murder her daughter.
Jane's face paled.
"Hello, how may I help you?" Jane went towards the customer that just entered to avoid facing the wrath of her mother, and Grace also got busy with the customers.
Villin Manor
Walter, the butler, came to greet Julian as he got off from his vintage car. "Welcome back, master" Julian nodded his head as an answer.
"Walter, please prepare me a cup of coffee" Julian removed his overcoat, hat and handed them to Walter. "Sure young master, I will bring it right away".
Julian stared at the orchids, which he bought from the flower shop. He went to the 3rd floor of the manor house. He stopped in front of a room that was at the farthest corner of the floor.
"Knock... Knock"
As he knocked on the door, the door opened and a room filled with darkness greeted him. The windows were closed and curtained. The only thing that was emitting a bit of light was a small candle, which was placed on a table.
"Some orchids for you," he placed the flowers on the bed and then sat on the sofa. "Can you please open the curtains at least, I don't have a habit of living in this much darkness".
As he said this, the person at the other end of the room went towards the windows and pulled the curtains up. With that source of light, we could see the other person.
"Now that's a little comfortable," Julian exclaimed.
The other person walked towards the bed and stared at those orchids with confusion.
"These are for you."
"For me?" That person got more confused.
"Yes, these flowers are for you, from her," after hearing this the other person's eyes became wide.
"You met her?" Julian nodded at him as an answer.
'No wonder why the scent of these flowers feels similar.'
"She recommended me to buy these flowers. She would love to get these from her soulmate," a small smile formed on the face of the other person. He carefully took those flowers and caressed them fondly as if he was trying to touch someone through those flowers.
"Bring them to me every day," he ordered Julian as he put them in a vase.
"Hmm, I would love to do that, but wouldn't it be a little weird?"
The other person walked towards Julian
"Why don't you buy them yourself? When you will come out and meet her face to face," Julian stood up.
"It's not the right time, when the time comes it will happen."
"You have been waiting for years, despite knowing the fact that you can lose her if it is too late."
"Keep one thing in your mind, nobody can take her away from me."
"Are you sure about this?" Julian chuckled darkly. "Before too, you were overconfident about it."
"What are you trying to say?" the second person's face filled with anger.
"I am not trying to say anything. I was just making you remember certain incidents repeat themselves-" Julian said this while holding the other person's shoulder.
"You'll lose her forever."
Suddenly that other person gave Julian a stare filled with anger, dominance, and command which made Julian kneel.
"You are wrong here, Julian. Think a thousand times before saying anything."
"I will keep that in my mind."
'I should not have said that,' Julian shivered in fear.
"You can go now, but before that close, the curtains," Julian followed the command. He quickly went out.
"My lord, your coffee is ready," Walter greeted Julian as he arrived in the main living room.
"Walter, where is Jeremy?"
"Young master was playing in his room and had been doing a lot of mischiefs," a smile formed on Julian's face as listened to all the mischief his little brother had done.
"Don't worry Walter, he will get his new governess soon."
"Bye", Grace greeted her friend as she left the shop at 7 pm. Aunt Ira always let her leave the shop early. After that night she never roams in the city at late hours.
She also takes the roads that are packed enough so that if something happens, there will be somebody to save her.
Soon she reached her house.
"I am home." As soon as she uttered those words, she got bombarded with orders.
"Grace, cook the dinner."
"Grace, prepare a bath for me."
"Get the clothes from the terrace."
Grace went to the living room and met her foster sister, Lucy.
"You are home, make dinner fast as I have to go to Eliza's house for a sleepover. Pack some food for that."
Grace nodded and went to the kitchen. She washed her hands and face before cooking the food. Soon she cooked the dinner.
"Dinner is ready," soon her foster family arrived in the dining room.
Her foster father Andrew Collins was the owner of an accounting firm. Her foster mother Laura Collins was a homemaker and her foster sister Lucy Collins was still in her college.
Everyone except Grace sat for dinner. She wasn't allowed to have any meal with them. She served everyone one and stood in a corner.
"Dear Lucy, have you done all the preparations for your sleepover with Eliza?" Lura asked her daughter.
"Yes, mother I have done all the preparations," Lucy turned to her father.
"Father, can you please drop me at her house after dinner?"
"Why not Lucy, you are making friends with Mr Allen's daughter. He is such a big personality and being friends with his daughter can be a big thing to us."
'All they care about is their profit.' Their talks did not surprise Grace.
"Not only Eliza but Caleb too, he seems to be smitten by me," Lucy said proudly.
"Why wouldn't he get smitten, you are so beautiful," Laura exclaimed. Lucy's eyes filled with self-praise.
"Of course I am beautiful, I am not like someone who looks like a witch," she said while looking at Grace.
