-Michael's POV-
The Kyojin's backup arrived all armed are ready for war. I was genuinely surprised at the type of armory they carried. I couldn't help but wonder how it was that they got their hands on them. To be honest this worried me a little since we might have the advantage in men but they definitely had the advantage in weapons. We better make sure they don't make it inside. I then gave out the signal and out reinforcements attacked.
Hidden in every corner the smaller gangs popped out and surrounded the men before they got in the building. The gang might have been smaller but they were surely skilled. Not wasting a second they fired their guns and brought the fight to the Kyojin. They were surprised when even they had the Kyojin surrounded they were twice as skilled as them taking down many men with them.
Bullets flying, blood spilling, many dead, and other injured the fight continued. I was sure to join the fight as I hid on top of a tree snipping as many men as I could. Soon bombs were being dropped , blades were thrown, and smoke filled the air. Things were not looking good for either gangs.
After a while one by one the Kyojin members were taken off the system leaving the smaller gangs the only one still standing. Unfortunately for the Kyojin inside their back up will never arrive.
After that was taken care of I ordered the man to enter the building and give the rest of the man the help they needed. Before I could join the fight inside I had one last task to take care off. This one was going to be a surprise. If everything goes well Shadow Cat will received one of the biggest surprise in his life. I ran away from the fight until I reached my vehicle and drove to a special location.
Arriving I was greeted by my special friend Officer Warner. Officer Warner and I became good friends after I saved her life on her first day of the job. She had tried to arrest a member of the Kyojin for theft and little did she know he was well armed and with back up. Thankfully I was there to help. That night things got very heated for both of us but following the gang rules and not my heart I had decided to just be friends.
"Hey Alice, you got what I need?" I asked her as soon as we sat down. She was aware of the situation, she knew there was a war going on close by and that things were going to get bad. I had already agreed to call her when it was the right time for the cops to arrive at the seen.
She did not like it, she had asked to help me but I couldn't allow her to risk her life for us. "Yes it was a little hard but luckily I know a guy." She then handed me a large white envelope that held what would soon be an important thing in Shadow Cats life.
"Thanks I knew you could do it. I gotta go talk to you soon." I tell her before getting up from my chair and beginning to walk away. "Michael!" She called out to me making me stop and turn around to face her. "Let me come with you please. I want to help you. I want to be there for you. We can do this together." She said with a look of worry in her face.
"I can't let you do that. I'm sorry" I replied sadly. I really wish she could be by my side but our words are the complete opposite and I can't ask her to switch for me. "Why not? Why can't I? I know you feel the same for me as I do for you. So then why can't I join you?"
"Because you are good. Because we are from different worlds, you stand for what's right and I am the wrong. I can't ask you to leave you life behind and join the dark side just so I can have you. I do feel the same. I love you I know that now but I can't allow you to risk your life to be a criminal in hiding just for me I am sorry. Please understand." I said before running back to my car and leaving her there without being able to respond.
Shadow Cat had showed me what was love and I realized seconds later that is what I felt for Alice but one things is certain and that is no matter what I can't allow her to be in danger just like Marie was I would not be able to handle that.
Shortly after I arrived to see that the war was still happening. Hundredths of men dead puddles of blood everywhere and fire was beginning to consume the forest. We had to end this fast and that is just what we will do.
-Marie's POV-
As Randy left the room the old man put his book down and looked towards me. He glared at me, I could see a great amount of hate in his eyes. I wondered why but that didn't stop me from glaring back at him with even more intensity. His eyes never left mine as we had our own little staring contest. After a minute I gave up and looked down.
I was exhausted, my body ached, my opened wounds and it was getting harder to breath by the second. My clothes were damped in blood, I could see my body begin to loose color and I felt chilly. At this point I just want it to end. I want to close my eyes and no longer feel pain.
"So Marie tell me how did you and Shadow Cat get so close?" The man spoke to for the second time since I entered the room. The look in his face said that he already knew and just wanted to torture me and that pissed me off even more. Even if he didn't know why the hell would he care? I swallowed hard and tried speaking to him for the first time.
"What you don't watch the news?" I asked sarcastically. My throat burned, my voice was low and almost unheard, my lips were broken and chapped due to the lack of water but that did not stop me from answering.
The man laughed but it almost sounded like he was mocking me. "Nice, you must not know who I am." "Nor do I care to know." I quickly responded. His smile faded and his lip quivered in anger as his brows furrowed and his eyes narrowed. "Watch yourself girl you have no idea what I can do to you!" He growled at me. At this point I begin feeling really annoyed.
More threats but now from a different guy. In a matter of 48 hours I have been threatened and beaten hundredths of times. I am dying, I am sure I won't make it much longer so instead of threatening me why not just end it all. We both know how this is going to end anyways. He will beat me half to death and leave me suffering. So why not get it over with?
"Look old man, I have been kidnapped, raped, knocked up, abandoned, punched, kidnapped again, cut, beaten, bruised, whipped, and choked and all in a matter of months at the age of 17. So please do tell me what more can you exactly do? Kill me? Please do.
Take me out of my misery. I am tired I want all this to end so just shut up and do it. At the end Shadow Cat will find you and you will end up dead just like me." I was surprised when my voice came as clear as day even though it hurt like hell I was sure I was heard.
My words seemed to strike a nerve as the man tightened his jaw and greeted his teeth loudly. "I hate to break it to you girl but if there is one person in this world that Shadow Cat won't hurt. One that can control him when even he cant control himself It's me!"
