Marie and Randy have been super close lately. Every day he calls her to tell her Good morning and every night they spend hours talking about things that happened during the day. Randy also drops by her job from time to time making sure she is doing well and doesn't need anything.
Yes, he knew about her pregnancy, Marie had been honest with him since the start. She really believed Randy would run the second she told him but to her surprise it was quite the opposite. He had been super excited as if the baby was his.
Even knowing about Marie's pregnancy Randy insisted they go through with their date. He said that her being pregnant changed nothing and that no matter what happened he would never let her go through with it on her own. He said unlike the baby's father he would never desert her. This made Marie's heart warm and convinced her to agree on the date.
In fact, as Randy and Marie got closer her and Shadow got further apart. Marie began to get angrier at Luke. He was the one that was supposed to want to be here but he was nowhere to be seen but yet here was Randy willing and wanting to take his place.
Randy was a smart one. He would speak of her ex a lot each time adding more and more words to make her hate towards him grow. As if he was throwing more gas to the fire. As if he knew him personally and hated him himself. Of course there was no way he would know it was Luke Marie had never once given him a name or any detail about him but it did not matter Randy always made sure to show how much he despised him and how she should too.
Many times Marie thought it was odd but somehow he managed to convince her each and every time. Each night that passed without hearing from Luke made her despise him even more and Randy was loving it. This is what made Marie make up her mind. Randy deserve a shot and Luke deserved to be forgotten. The date had been set and it will take place tonight. But before getting ready for her date Marie decided it was time Shadow Cat got a taste of his own medicine. This would be her final goodbye.
Marie called AJ and asked if he could come over. Avoiding his questions on why she hadn't answered the phone she told him how she had a message and a gift for him and it was important that he got it tonight. Noticing her desperation AJ agreed and headed to her house. A few minutes after he made it to her house where he found her already waiting outside for him. As AJ walked out the car Marie pulled out a small rectangular box along with another small box Luke had once given him and a letter.
AJ froze as his eyes landed on her. This time Marie had done nothing to hide her pregnancy. It's not like she could have done something anyways over the past two weeks her stomach grew immensely and no matter what it was still noticeable. She was a little over 7 months by now so it was expected for it to happen. Either way Marie no longer wanted to hide it her parents had known for a while now, Randy knew, so why not everyone else including Shadow Cat himself. Marie wanted to make it clear. She regretted nothing unlike him.
AJ staggered at the revelation. He stared at her without reacting for about 3 minutes. He couldn't even move whatsoever. "Marie are you...you're..." he struggled to speak so Marie decided to respond for him. "Pregnant? Yes, I am over 7 months now" the tone in her voice was unamused and harsh. AJ gulped as his heart raced. Shadow would not be happy about this.
"Why? Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you say anything?" he asked her causing Marie to laugh coldly "For what? So, you could tell him? So, he would come back? No! He made his choice and neither I nor my baby need him!"
AJ stood shocked not sure what to do or say. He had never seen Marie so mad before. What happened? What caused her to hate Luke so much? Marie saw AJ hesitate so she continued "Don't please don't start on how he loves me that's all bullshit and we both know it. I waited, I waited 7 months for him to come for me but he didn't and I am done I am done waiting.
Look I just need you to give him this and don't say anything he will find out all he needs to when he reads the letter. Now if you excuse me, I have to go get ready for my date." Marie smirked towards the end handing AJ the things and leaving him dumb folded standing outside alone.
"Where the hell have you been?" The man yelled at the top of his lungs. "I gave you a job to do and yet you didn't do it. In fact, you just disappeared. You have been slacking for months." The rage in the man's voice was heard all around the room. "Oh, I apologize I was not sure I was given a time frame." Shadow Cat replied sarcastically showing no fear. This only made the men even more upset.
"Watch your tone when you speak to me. You were given orders and you will follow them. I am your boss, your leader, and you will respect me as such, got it?" The man responded angrily. "I follow no one!" Shadow spat out becoming frustrated. "Don't forget who placed you there, don't forget who made you the leader, and never forget where the gang's loyalty really lies." Shadow continued to speak angrily walking towards the man.
The man did not move, instead he stood his ground and smirked. He knew Shadow's secret and it was time to get him back in his place. "You don't scare anyone Shadow. In fact, you no longer have the power you used to. I own you now. I mean we wouldn't want your perfect little girlfriend to get hurt now do we?"
