As the saying goes there is no joy without annoy. Just ask Jin Lin and he would tell you in detail. He had been so excited about his golden ticket to star horizon's headquarters and finally meet his long lost sibling that he had zero vigilance over his mother as witnessed by outsiders a week later.
Fen Hao had his driver drive them over to the office on that beautiful and fine day. To avoid the group of people camping outside the headquarters the front desk lady had specially asked them to use the private entrance.
But as luck would have it his mother happened to be taking a break eating at the fancy restaurant near the private entrance when she noticed a very familiar stature strutting out of an expensive car. If this wasn't her family's black sheep then she might need to get her eyes checked.
Fairly certain of herself she rushed over to the waitress shock as she hadn't paid the bill. She dashed over faster than the world's fastest man calling out, "Jin Lin!"
As though struck by lightning, Jin Lin stood rooted on the spot with his entire body as stiff as a ramrod unwilling to turn around and face the source of his nightmares head-on.
He had succeeded in avoiding her for the past five years but just like an unplanned teenage pregnancy, one moment of carelessness can lead to a lifetime of stress. He dropped the ball once and she happened. It didn't take long before the scolding commenced attracting the attention of passersby.
"You unfilial son! How many times did I call you to help me, huh? Each time I spoke to you and told you to come to help me fight these people who took your brother you hang up on me and even, even blacklist me," she yelled with her ponytail loosening making her hair dishevelled.
This appearance had the people around them believe that he had caused his mother so much pain instead of being filial to her. What filial piety? Legally they weren't related anymore so why would he pick up her calls and deliberately subject himself to verbal abuse.
Jin Lin decided to play the see no evil, hear no evil card but with that one step he took things escalated faster than a catfight in the real housewives.
She smacked him and carried on to garner sympathy from onlookers. She sincerely hoped one or two people would film them and upload this incident online to show what a disrespectful person their internet celebrity was. Yes, she knew about him playing childish games online and boy, did it grind her gears.
"I come here every single day and bake in the hot sun just so that I can rescue your brother. You let me, a woman poor of health to come stand here outside while you stay at home and play games all day. Have you no shame or you just want to kill me? Yes, that must be it. You want to kill your mother so you can inherit my property when I die.... wuwuwu," she said feeling rather complacent as she intensified her acting.
Jin Lin's eyes reddened as he clenched his fist till his knuckles turned white. He tried holding back and treating her like air but she had taken things too far. Only the heavens know how much shit she put him throughout the years. And here she was again deliberately splashing dirty water at him in public for no good reason.
His expression darkened as he swiftly turned around to face her. He looked so scary that Fen Hao had to hold him back. He feared that he would beat this shameless woman up and mess up their chance to finally get their hands on Equino.
"You severed our mother and son relationship five years ago yet you....," he said as Fen Hao pushed him towards the entrance.
She looked at Jin Lin's intimidating appearance and took the opportunity to berate him further. She wailed incessantly and said, "You see, he wants to beat me..... he wants to kill me, then go ahead and kill me.... kill me!" while attempting to follow him inside.
Of course, the security guards wouldn't let this opportunist sneak past them which meant they didn't hesitate to manhandle her away from the entrance creating a commotion.
"You are all snakes! You and that pathetic excuse of a son," she yelled kicking and screaming as they dragged her away from the entrance, "you will pay for this all of you!"
Just as she was putting up her final act for the cameras someone appeared out of nowhere and tapped her shoulder. Thinking it was someone trying to get the scoop on why she was creating such a fuss in public she turned around ready to tell the world's greatest lie. But her act was shattered when a soft-spoken person said, "That would be 5000 yuan, cash or card."
That was the voice of the waitress who had followed her outside with a point of sale machine. She also didn't want to do this here but seeing that this woman might be dragged out of there she was left with no choice but to request she pays her bill then carry on with whatever street play she was putting up.
Forgetting she was no longer dealing with her youngest son but an outsider she slapped the waitress across the face taking things from zero to a hundred in a matter of minutes. Her true nature exposed itself in front of a large crowd earning her jail time which was recorded by passersby.
In a matter of minutes, she became a trending topic not because of her so-called unfilial son but for being a cancer in society. She was berated online for slapping an innocent girl for asking her to pay her bill.
Jin Lin naturally didn't know what happened after he left. His mother had thrown him off balance both physically and mentally that he was basically a walking corpse for the next one hour or so.
Indeed, the heavens don't give with both hands. He was given a loving sibling only to be born from this terrible person. He clearly must have offended some big shot in his previous life to end up with this vile woman as a mother.
