As they left, there was a major commotion behind them but they made it their goal to ignore it completely. Maddy seemed angry about something, on the other hand, Retro seemed to have found a jewel as his eyes were gleaming. It was somewhat uncomfortable to watch.
Mostly because Vatracco had seen those eyes before in someone. Ah, his dark past. He opted to forget it and focus.
While they were walking way, Maddy communicated to someone, probably someone higher than her and explained the situation using a spell. Retro could only look back and admire what had been done. He looked like a pup that had rediscovered its lost toy.
Vatracco sighed. He had a feeling that this is going to be a long, very long experience in the future. Immaculata had a small smile on her face. She was happy that something precious was unfolding before her, again. However, when her brother looked her way, she hardened her face.
When he looked away, thinking he had seen things wrong, the small smile with a suppressed laughter was vaguely seen on her face. He looked in her direction a second time. She reverted her face to normal face just in time. But, she wasn't able to hold it in this time.
"Pfft. COUGH. COUGH…Ahem." It was an epic failure.
He had had a long night, it would have made him angry, wait, he was, just a bit but, the thoughts of it just made him exhausted. Thus, he sighed.
Retro worried that something might have been wrong walked up to him and asked if anything was amiss. This made Immaculata let out her laugh. Her shoulders vibrated in the attempt to conceal her laughter even more. She stopped in her tracks and bend over a little.
Retro was even more worried.
It still wasn't enough. She took a short breath and continued laughing while hitting her knee and using it for support. It was funny. It really was. Her strong brother had picked up stray pup. It was on the cute side, talkative as hell and was interested in something he would rather avoid. Magic.
Retro had a confused aimed at the siblings. He was sure he missed something but could not comprehend what it was that he actually missed. Vatracco had stood, a little close to his sister, widening the gap between him and the lost pup. His hand was on his waist, the other on his forehead and he let out a very long, tired, exhausted, prolonged sigh.
"The Representative, will…" Maddy came back saying but stopped when she saw what was before her.
Even she could not understand what unfolding before her. Despite having a look of wanting to abandon everything, he had a slight smile on his face. Despite having a cold and unchanging look, she was letting out a laugh that was almost too silently to hear. She looked, almost, happy. These siblings were strange.
Maddy made her presence known by clearing her throat. Whatever it was that was happening before her came to a close and they all paid attention to her. She said it once more, that the Representative would take things from there.
The siblings were confused. Their faces held no secret, perhaps because they looked tired, or some other thing, but so far, this was an expression she had not expected to see from them. It looked like they knew everything, for them not to know the Representatives was weird.
Retro took over, "The academy is a place where students from all over come to study, research or expand their knowledge n, among other things. And, because of this, there have been disorder or accidents that occurred due to a lack of chain of command. Thus, the birth of Representatives."
He went on to further explain that due to there being many different species, the previous students decided on the following criteria for Representatives: Light, dark, Beast, Banshee, Vampire, Spirit and Hybrid. They stand in for the students, file their complaints and needs to their Professors.
The siblings understood from their explanation as that was the system back in the human realm. They functioned pretty much like a student body.
As they were still talking, Immaculata caught someone standing at the end of the corridor. She wasn't sure what she was dressed like as she was a bit far. She wanted to look at her more closely but her vision was enshrouded in darkness.
"Don't look." Her brother warned.
Something was indeed there, and for brother to have seen it must have had a physical form so why? Nevertheless, that did not seem to be the case, Vatracco unlike his sister, could only sense them so seeing them could only mean one thing. Catastrophic level of danger.
"It has no form. That…I don't know what that is…" He told her one more time telepathically.
She nodded. And they both walked on. But, they could both feel it following them slowly. Approaching precisely at the time. It was slow yet to them; it was antagonizing fast. They did not let their guard down.
"Hey, hey, can you see me too?"
