As he thinks that someone is not too far away, he uses his multiple spider eyes to look around.

Jack is surprised because he sees the guy that attacked Robert days ago. The motorcycle guy. The hooded guy with a metal color mask on, holding a strange wand that shot out a disc. Yes, that is him! He is standing not that far from him. Fortunately, because Jack is a spider, his exclamation is not audible to human ears. Therefore, the hooded guy is not aware of Jack's presence.
Jack knows he needs to tell his group about the presence of the outsider. But because he is a spider, his voice will not be heard.
