After Nitte saw Fox Fairy, she thought it was incredible. She really wished it wasn't a dream that would go away. Because Nitte liked the Fox Fairy and she would love to have a superpower.
Oh It was a real dream. A real dream that would actually carry on to the reality.
As Nitte still lay on the floor dying, a Navajo Skinwalker came to Nitte's dream. The Skinwalker wore a wolf's skin over his head, and it draped all the way down to his waist. The skin looked like it was freshly peeled off because there was still blood dripping. Nitte wanted to run away from him. But he turned into a wolf and trailed after her.
"Don't run. I'm here to impart my power to you. Fox Fairy only wants you to punish the men who treat women poorly, but I want you to punish many, many people. Not just men. I want you to punish men and women. So, have my power, too."
"What is your power?"
"You can start by changing your shape into different animals, not just a fox," Skinwalker laughed, "Sorry, not trying to compete with Fox Fairy. I can't help you with your deadly female charm or seduction. But, my power can help you track down people's fears. You will play with your prey. You will make them scared of you and whatever you want. You will..." Skinwalker paused, "You will see. You can make more people into Skinwalkers. You will come to find out about it."
This time, Nitte felt a steam casting on her skin.
And then, a long-legged creature came up to her. It was just half human, half beast looking monster. It had wolf-like ears sticking out, and it had big antlers like a grown elk. Its eyes were red. It had long nose and mouth like a wild boar. Nitte was scared and she screamed.
"Shhh. Be good now."
Nitte was still so scared that she started to cry.
"Oh, don't be silly now. It's just me. Windigo from the First Nations in the North. I'm only the deadliest and the most evil being in this world, nothing to be afraid," The creature laughed, "Once you have my power, you will only love me more and will not fear me. I have so many powers that I don't even have time to list all of them out. You'll slowly find out. Basically, I hunt and I kill. You'll be very good at it. You'll need it. You need all three of our powers to survive. Don't take crap from anyone anymore."
Before Nitte could answer, Windigo pushed her and she fell off from a cliff. Nitte then woke up.
She knew it was just a dream. But she now had a chest full of rage and she wanted to kill the man who beat her. She got up from the bathroom floor where her boyfriend left her. She went straight to the living room, and she saw her man sitting on a futon watching TV. She grabbed a glass beer bottle left on the nearby table and smashed it on his head.
He turned around, yelled at her, "You're going to die this time!"
Nitte suddenly had an urge to bite. Her body seemed to have a mind of its own and it propelled her to jump at him. She then bit into the man's neck and he screamed. She was surprised to see the bite mark appeared to be from like a dog or some kind of wild animal. It didn't exactly look like a human's. She stepped back.
"You crazy bitch! Where do you think you're going? Call 911! I'm bleeding from my neck!"
She laughed sharply. It sounded like an animal's cry. So high-pitched and so unpleasant. She felt good laughing like that and that would become her signature laugh. She walked away, leaving the man she once called her lover bleed to death.
Nitte told Keith her background story the first time they met. Keith took it at face value. He didn't question a thing or mock her for having unfounded fantasy about herself. Because Keith did witness her shapeshifting and attacking a person as a fox. He saw what she was capable of.
And after a few beers, she got handsy. She almost succeeded in luring Keith into bed with her. She got him undress and reached down his underwear. He was hard. She was about to go down on him when he sobered himself from Nitte's spell. He pushed her away and pulled up his pants.
"I don't do this kind of thing." Keith made a mental note to watch out for Nitte's physical contact with him in the future.
"Come on. This is just human nature. In fact, all animals in this world do this. I don't take it so seriously. I'm not going to cling on to you if that's what you are worried about."
"I like meaningless releases. But I just don't need you for that." Keith didn't care if that was a rude comment. He walked out of Nitte's apartment at that time.
Nitte likes to try her temptation skills. When she uses it on a guy, it doesn't mean she necessarily likes him. She just likes to play.
She is doing that now with Jack. But she's slowly taking that down a notch because she thinks Jack might not be as fun as she thought.
Right now, Jack seems to be very nervous that she is touching him again. Nitte takes her hands back.
"OK. Dull boy. I will leave now. I will come back without the smell of cigarettes, then we will talk." Without waiting for Jack's response, Nitte suddenly becomes a mouse and runs out of Jack's apartment.
Jack falls back to sleep on the couch. He feels too dirty to sleep in his own bed.
He wakes up feeling sore because the bad position he slept in. He takes a shower and he wants to talk to Bob.
He grabs his phone and calls Bob.
Bob answers right away: "Hello, can I call you back in a few minutes, I'm just about to enter the NYPD building. I need my hands free."
"Oh, sorry, I forgot someone actually goes to work. No problem." Jack laughs.
They hang up for now.
Jack does feel like he's a bit useless because he is still being suspended. He is not sure why, but he almost wants to say, "Screw NYPD! I'm going to work for someone else."
Even though Bob is younger, Jack feels like he should check with Bob before making the decision.
Suddenly, Bob calls back, "Hello, I'm free now. What do you want?"
"I'm thinking about quitting NYPD all together. What do you think?"
