"Playing at the arcade never feeeeelt so funnn" Kimi Daiki exclaimed as he jumped on the bed. Quan Chi and Jin Tofu smiled, walking towards the couch.
I looked around the room where we are staying. An air conditioned room that has neon yellow led lights, 5 comfortable beds with The Scripturient print on the pillow and the sloth icon animal pattern on the blankets. There is also a couch and a big table on the center, facing the television with speakers placed on the floor. A closet that has buttons and a computer with a keyboard that has glowing lights and a gaming-like chair is placed on the corner of the room.
"So, what did you guys do?" Sasori asked as she scrolled on her hologram tablet, sitting on a bean bag, nearby the glass window where flying cars and buildings were seen through it.
"Playing and exploring the city" Quan Chi said as he grabbed a can of soda out of a mini fridge that is placed on a mini kitchen sink.
"Hmmm, must be nice" she replied, her eyes fixed on the tablet screen.
"I never knew you are gooood at playin games, Great_XiaoCheng" Kimi Daiki said and jump on his bed.
"Well, his name is "Great_XiaoCheng" after all" Quan Chi commented.
"Maaaan, I want to sleeep" Jin Tofu said as he put his hand on the back of his head and lay on the couch.
"Soooooo, Sasori. What are you busy about?" Kimi Daiki asked, looking at Sasori.
Sasori averted her gaze on the hologram tablet and clench her first to vanish the hologram tablet on thin air.
"Reading and writing chapters"
"Ohhhh, what kind of writer are you? The serious type?" Kimi Daiki asked.
"You could also say that." Sasori replied, "You guys already ate?"
"No, we're too hoooked playing games"
Sasori sighed and hopped off her seat. "Let's go to the mini food court downstairs. I'd have something to say to you, guys.."
"About what?" Quan Chi asked.
Sasori dugged her hands on her pockets and walked towards the automated door, "Something important that I just new earlier"
The three writers and Shane looked at each other before facing Sasori. "You guys coming or not?"
The three writers and Shane followed Sasori. As they walked through the hallway, Shane couldn't help but to look around as they went through a glass hallway where the flashing billboards, flying cars and tall buildings were seen.
"Damnnn, this city is lit!" Jin Tofu said.
"Indeed" Quan Chi replied as a smile on his lips is formed.
"Wooooow, this city is often seen on games and movies. I never knew this place is amazinggg" Kimi Daiki cheerily said.
Sasori halted on her tracks and put her palm on the pad placed beside the door. She picked the hologram pen floating beside the pad and wrote her signature.
Alevtina Sasori
Scripturient Writer, confirmed!
I heard an automated voice said. The door suddenly opened. All of us went inside the door and Sasori put her palm again on a sensor and the door suddenly close.
"How did you know how things work here, Sasori?" Kimi Daiki asked.
"Reading the manual before I went inside the hotel"
"Wait, there's a manual?"
Sasori nodded. "I was given a manual of the receptionist"
"I see.." Kim Daiki said, nodding. "Anyway, what's the important things you want to say"
"You'll know. Let's go to the mini food court first"
The door suddenly stop and opened. I looked around as I saw lots of people, wearing hoodies with the Scripturient's League logo on the right side of their chest.
Ocelots, Racoons and Penguin.
"Lets go there" Sasori pointed, a mini neon bar with a neon sign said, "Neon Minute Joint"
As we walked through towards the Neon Minute Junction, lot of people laugh and talk as if they are in high school where lot of students gather with their groups and talk. They happily chat and eat on their ordered food.
"Oh, welcome!" a clerk said, smiling. "What would you like to eat?"
"750 coins for a team bundle?" Kimi Daiki, his eyes on the Neon Minute Joint screen menu where foods were placed along with the price.
"The price of the french fries were outrageous" Quan Chi said and dug his hands on the pockets. "I don't even have the money with me"
"Oh, from the looks of your hoodies. You must one of the Low-rank writers"
Quan Chi and Jin Tofu's brows furrowed, "Low.. Ranks?"
"Yes. We'll be---" Sasori cut them off.
"We know" Sasori said and looked at us. "So, what do you want? It's my treat'
"Reaallly?" Kim Daiki said, his eyes sparkled.
"Don't looked at me like that, you dog. So, what do you guys want? I hate waiting"
"I'll go with the burger" Jin Tofu said.
"I'll go with Nachos" Kimi Daiki followed.
"I'll go with the fries" Quan stated. "Small, spicy flavor and thank you, Sasori for the treat"
Sasori gave him a smile, "Dōitashimashite"
"How about yours?" Sasori asked, referring me.
"I'll go with the.." I said and looked at the menu, "I'll go with the pizza. Just one slice"
"Alright" Sasori said and walked towards the clerk. "One order of burger, small spicy french fries, pizza and Nachos. I'll go also with burger and fries"
The clerk nodded and repeat the orders.
"That would be 650 stars. 3.4 ratings"
"Ratings?" I asked to myself. Sasori clench her one first and appeared a hologram screen.
"alright. 3.4 ratings sent!" Sasori said, swiping up on her hologram screen. The sudden ping sound of the cash register caught our attention. Quan Chi, Kim Daiki, Jin Tofu along with me were left mouth-opened as we read of what the cash register said on its screen.
Alevtina_Sasori review ratings 3.4 received.
Alevtina_Sasori review ratings remaining balance: 0.2
Sasori's ratings.. Were converted as coins? She got.. 3.6 review ratings and was subtracted and she had 0.2.
"Please, seat and wait for your orders. They'll be on your seat in a minute"
Few writers that has Ocelot, Scorpions on their back looked at us as we walked through them and sat on a vacant seat.
"Hey, Sasori.." I called out as I sit.
"Yeah?" Sasori replied.
"The ratings.. Was it.. Your money?"
Sasori sits and looked at me, "Yep."
"But.. What about your overall ratings? It would probably affect your status as a writer" Kim Daiki asked concerned,
"It sure did"
"And.. You got 3.6 ratings. How--"
"In this city, our review ratings from our stories we wrote will convert as coins. The more big review ratings you have, the more you could buy anything you want"
"Basically saying, rich? Am i correct?" Quan chi asked.
"See those guys?" Sasori asked, referring to the other writers that were eating along with their team. Their foods could cost great amount of ratings.
"They bought those foods from their ratings and.."
"But why you are treating us? Did you meant we hav--"
"I don't know how much were your ratings. Did you guys know yours?"
"Well..." Kim Daiki paused, "No"
"Now, just shut your mouth and eat" she said as the food arrived. Robot came handling the food tray and put our food on the table. .."
"Enjoy. " the robot said and walked out.
"so, what this important things you want to say?"
Before Sasori replied, sudden pings filled the room. Shane pulled out her phone along with the three writers, Quan Chi, Kimi Daiki and Jin Tofu.
"Challenge?"
"By team?"
"Competing with other writers?"
