It has to be said that the age of ten really is a watershed moment—both boys and girls begin to enter puberty around this time. Generally speaking, girls develop faster than boys, though of course, this isn't an absolute rule since every individual has their own differences.
Take, for instance... our little friend Mengmeng and Gu Zhihan.
Mengmeng showed no sign of development, and it was worth noting that the breasts of the girls around her had already started developing, with some having even gotten their periods; yet she hadn't started any of that.
Whereas Gu Zhihan, a boy who should have developed later, had already outgrown all the other boys in the class in height—and the girls, too.
Even though he was only one meter and fifty centimeters tall now.
This height can't compare with that of an adult male, but against his same-aged peers, he was like a king among men!
