The commander was supposed to explain every detail to Prince Edward. But it wasn't the main point because he was very dedicated and loyal to the ethereal priests of either shrine. For showing his loyalty to the shrines of gods he would do anything even if it were betraying the prince.
If he realized the boy's power, he would certainly report it to those priests who couldn't endure that humans' minds had advanced.
They might call them sorcerers and execution could be the least. Besides that, they could put Two and Prince Edward in a bad position.
The parliament was able to claim against him and make an election to take his position as crown prince.
Six believed in them and never told an untruth to them so the prince barely could rely on him. Until the king wasn't in the right mental state he had to take responsibility. This country could not hang on without him protecting it.
For now, Karmalin was the only one that he trusted not anyone else. Especially those who were after coups and sneaked into the shadows, waiting for the Right Time to fly up.
"Once master Karmalin is so sure I see no point to be worried about." The prince stated.
He turned his face to take the leave but before the door stopped and added.
"Bo Wong, make sure this time that you turn back to the tracks, you wouldn't disappoint me." He smirked.
It was forbidden for the royal family to take part in street racings whether legal or not. He liked cars but barely would he drive a car, only in essential situations. They were fay cranes and could fly around without using cars.
He left the room and the hunters followed him except the commander. He approached Bo, nearing his mouth to his ears.
"Yes, that is much better for you to keep calm and ride in those tracks and never interfere with something related to us, kid."
His tune was as if sparing a prey another day to live. His eyes blazed as he turned his face away while snorting. The cloak flew behind him, punching the air furiously.
Being there was hard enough and reminding him that he already missed this battle was somehow biting him. TECO wouldn't forgive that simply. The words that came out of his mouth plunged into his heart. What would they do to him if they discovered about his power?
He watched them leaving with a ton of menaces. TECO was strict and he knew the rules. They were going to keep him in a hang position and his rank already decreased. Unlike the prince's desire who seemed to be one of his votaries, he had to be away from the tracks.
Abruptly after they slammed the door, Karmalin heaved out a smooth sigh. The harrowing tension inside the room reduced. He glanced at the boys who kept their heads down. They were ashamed for troubling him; their wrong inner emotion was enough and needed to cease down in his perspective.
Their look was exactly unlike a moment ago that they were standing against the hunters ruthlessly. He believed that until they didn't taste the trouble they wouldn't be waffled enough to protect themselves or either other people.
"Keep your head up! Those who made a mistake must be ashamed, tell me, did you make one?"
To him saving someone else wasn't a mistake. The feeling that they had now was coming from the pressure that hunters infused them.
His marking words rattled a ring in their heads. Bo just saved Delun, so what was this shame for?
"We really apologize master, we disappointed you." Bo stated, yet wasn't able to push his head up.
Karmalin stood in front of them, pushing his eyeglasses up his nose bridge. He placed his hand on Bo's shoulder, directing to the door that they should move out of that room.
"Many people had been making major bungles that hurt people and never apologized nor confessed to it." he paused for a short time and when they were out of the Gods circle he continued; "But you two, youths. You are making me amazed. You are apologizing to me for the right decision that you had made due to your situation. This world has changed. I have hopes for the future because of your innocent hearts."
"I couldn't let the juggler kill Delun." Bo said.
Karmalin took his hand off his shoulder. His emerald ring glinted. It was a unique gemstone, which could release Karmalin's power at any time the wings on either side of the ring move away.
"Humans can always bring up troubles but not every trouble is your fault! Sometimes they just appear in your way."
"I wish the hunters would think just like you, master." Delun pointed to his black eyes.
Karmalin tapped on his shoulder. Bo heard his voice inside his head. Some high fays like him were able to speak with people that way. The shaman could see how much concern the boy was.
"Bo, your power is a gift and I am glad that you have it. If it weren't you, I wouldn't support it."
Karmalin's voice was a melody of comfort to him after all. Like warm rays of sun on a cold frozen flower.
"You are a great person, Master! Although knowing how much dangerous this power is but you are keeping to be humble." Bo responded.
Somehow, he accepted that his power was a curse that could bring disaster and it was because of Lahuka's abuse.
"No, this is not true, Bo. Merely, it doesn't matter what people think of your power; but what does matter is that how much you do believe in yourself. Keep learning about it and use it in the right way so they will be ashamed until then ignore them and only live for yourself, son."
"How can I learn it? Now that the lock of darkness had gone, I have no control over it."
"You will learn, it is my honor to help you but I want you to do something against,"
"Not to let others' comment on you knock you down. Nor distracting nor making you far away from your right path. Don't let them affect your choice."
The wise man went quiet when they were almost at the end of the corridor where the stairs were ascending. The Aligners who brought the boys were still there guarding by the order of Karmalin.
