Chapter 20 - Memories

"Bring out everything, which is related to the shield." The commander emphasized.

"You are overstepping the line." Delun believed.

"You are rude but your ruthlessness might sever your head." One said and released him; turning her face from him, she approached the commander, grabbed his fist gently, and added, "Let Two begin. We will see what he is hiding." She made him draw back.

One nicely glanced at him and he let go of the boy.

"It is because you are itching for it!" Delun bent on his stomach and answered. The vampire girl glanced at him over her shoulder.

"Three! Heal his lungs; we have to keep him alive for now." She pointed.

Three walked to Delun and knelt, "Kneel here!"

Delun obeyed in reluctance but because of the pain inside his chest, he had to accept that not any other reason.

He knelt in front of him and the healer hunter swiftly touched his chest. The color of his eyes was purple, saying that he was a peacock fay. It became light and a hue splashed out from them while the healing process began. The place of his touch was burning hardly but Delun swallowed it down.

As he finished, the other hunter strode forward to Bo, standing behind him.

"Don't hurt him." Delun blurted. He thought that they might do something harsh so he found no other way but to interfere with their decision. He hopped to the table, took hold of Two's hand before reaching Bo.

"Very fast, I'm stunned," Five confessed.

The brutal commander headed to Delun. Three sighed; he was tired of this flow. They were damaging the boy and asking him to heal.

"Please not again!" Three pleaded.

"Don't worry! I just want to illustrate his face in black." He smirked wickedly, grabbing the boy from behind, making him turn his face, and punching him in the face. Delun aimed to repay that but he swiftly dodged and appeared behind the boy.

"This is too late for begging!" The werewolf claimed and gave him another punch. The heavy stroke made him lay on the ground. The commander put his right foot on his chest. His leather boot was glinting and the smell of early polish teased the boy's nose.

"Lashuka would never listen to you beg and wailing. Learn this lesson in here kid." He added.

Two stood in front of Bo and he didn't stop him from the further move; letting them what they wanted to do, as it was the only option to rest assured that they wouldn't hurt Delun.

The second hunter placed his hand on Bo's shoulder. He was able to dive into memories and take them out of the mind, allowing others to see the truth. However, it was only a simple part. He could drag them all to the past through those memories and if Lashuka was there by any chance, he could take the advantage to pop out hastily.

"I'm bored to death so finish it fast, Two." One growled.

"The impatient muse you should wait; I just began!"

He entered his head. His eyes flashed out green rays and made Bo stare at them instinctively. The fay was hovering between his memories when she groaned.

The memory reader fay found the one that the boy mentioned about it. The werewolf juggler was there. He clapped his hands and a green light came out of it then the environment around them began to change.

They were in front of the crack on the shield. Bo was supposed to experience and feel the cold numb fog for the third time. His heart was shivering and he couldn't control that undesirable emotion. It was as if someone was crumbling him between his fist and he couldn't even move to escape.

"This is stupid!" His voice shuddered while protesting.

"Remain in the circle of gods or I might not be able to take you out." Two warned.

If either of them left the circle of gods, the fay couldn't track the memory that person entered and it became a huge mess. They were in the past and this power was scary. The fay could manage to return the past time through a portal of memories and could do anything he wanted because he was the only one who could bring changes.

They witnessed the boy who was calling for his dog and the rest until he met the werewolf juggler who saved him then things turned blank and shady. The rest of his memory was jailed in that card that the juggler locked for everyone except the boy.

"So this is how you met the werewolf juggler, Bo! It is becoming more intriguing now." Four claimed. Yet, she couldn't answer one other question, why would the juggler leave his precious card for the boy?

"Two, take us back to present!" The commander ordered.

He nodded and clapped his hand the green light shaped and splashed out but nothing happened for a minute! He gaped at the unexpected coming. It was almost impossible that time or memories resist his power.

"I can't return to the court nor anywhere else." His nose was bleeding. One smelled the blood and took a sheet out of her pocket, handing it to him.

"Stop it! don't hurt yourself, let us consider the situation." Four said.

"Stay in the circle Bena." Two pleaded while squeezing his nose.

She nodded. It was strange that she couldn't sense darkness for a while then the environment started to change, taking them to present but not to the place that the fay summoned or aimed to go. She felt that they just crashed in hell.
