"What?!?! Concubine? You took Alice as my mistress?" Said Avery in a high voice.
Ariadne nodded slowly. She bit her lower lip when she heard Avery's voice rise.
They're both in the room right now. It was late at night. And Avery had just finished bathing in warm water but heard the news that wasn't good for him.
"Ariadne.. why? Why are you so complicated?"
"What did you say? I'm complicated? Avery, our wedding has only been a month. But I understand you. I don't want you to feel alone forever."
"I need no such thing, Ariadne! Why are you making me angry?"
Ariadne clenched her hands and squeezed her nightgown a little. "I love another man." Said Ariadne honestly.
Those words left Avery speechless. His pissed-off face was instantly back to normal. Avery's neck muscles which stiffened instantly back to normal.
"What?"
"I love another man, Avery."
"Who?"
"Darian. I love him." Said Ariadne as she gazed at Avery.
