Chapter 3 - 3. Doing Paperwork

Ariadne's crying out loud. While Darian standing at Ariadne's door is silent, Darian was reluctant to enter, for it would be no use if he went into Ariadne's room.

Ariadne's sobs filled her vast room. With two bare feet, Ariadne moves forward toward the balcony of the room. Look at the palace from above. Staring at the houses of ordinary citizens.

Ariadne's gaze is vacant. She misses her mommy and daddy. Ariadne would love to be hugged by Clemmie if she was this fragile.

"Princess, may I come in?" Ask Darian from outside the room. The man cried out a little for Ariadne inside to hear his voice.

Ariadne quickly wiped away her tears. The girl ran in her heavy dress. To the bedroom door and unlock it. Darian stood upright in front of the door with a long tray filled with lunch.

Darian followed Ariadne's little steps toward the bed. The man quickly arranged the lunch for Ariadne on the small dining table.

"Eat, I'll stay with you until this meal is over." Speaking. come on.

Ariadne did not answer, just staring Darian in the eyes of inquiry. "Have you been told by elie?" She asked slowly.

"Yes. My mother couldn't bear to starve you, princess."

"Elie told me to eat a lot of good manners. I just don't want to. Ah, I'm just not ready to learn my manners yet. Why is it so complicated just to eat?"

"My mother taught you the right thing, princess. Because you are a princess in this kingdom. My mother says, after this coronation your days will be a little rough."

Ariadne is silent, still not understanding what darian is describing. Her mind is still a child's. Ariadne is not such a grown woman as to understand the situation now. All Ariadne needs are her parents. Not Darian or Elie. Ariadne wishes to leave this palace.

"Now please eat your lunch, princess. My mother has promised to let you rest for the day."

"Seriously?"

Darian nodded. "Yes. My mom won't see you today. She's busy with the kitchen and the maids with Meghan."

Then Ariadne smiled. The little hands instantly moved to grab a spoon and fork. Then Ariadne ate in peace and darian kept standing at her bedside.

Ariadne's lunch now includes a honey-roasted chicken, a vegetable salad, slices of apples, and wheat toast. And there was fresh milk for the drink.

After the meal, Ariadne prefers to take a nap. Calmed down any loose ends in her mind. Darian also returned to Ariadne's room. Darian, of course, remained standing upright beside Ariadne's bed. Guarding the princess who slept well that afternoon.

The very next morning at dawn, the servants were lined up to awaken Ariadne and bathe her.

And at six o 'clock in the morning, Ariadne is now beautiful in her heavy, floral gown. And very tight in the chest up to the waist. Apparently the servants were dressing her up and pulling the strings tight. Makes it a little difficult for Ariadne to breathe.

Ariadne sits in the chair of the magnificent work. Before her there was a wooden table with many files on it. It provided the royal seal as well as quill and black ink. What does all this have to do with anything? Is Ariadne told to draw something?

If it had been for Ariadne's hand, she would have struck a piece of paper with a request in polite form, Elie would have prevented it. "It's not like that, princess." She said firmly.

"Then what's it like? Am I supposed to draw?"

Elie shook her head. "No. These are all the papers that want to be approved. These are files of supply requests from the residents. There was an agreement between jobs. There's also a letter from the minister for the diamond transfer permit from the mines. Please use the seal and sprinkle the princess's signature on the lower right. That is if the princess approves the file."

Elie's explanation is too long. Ariadne feels she doesn't understand what elie means at all. "Do I have to agree to everything?"

Elie smiled. "It doesn't have to be. Let's just agree to what the princess thinks is good to carry."

"Okay. I get it." Said Ariadne.

Elie could just watch and breathe her long breaths. If no one signs the papers, the royal system won't move. Elie quickly called the counselor to help Ariadne understand the contents of the files.

"Why not just tell aunt Ariadne to run the empire?" Ask Meghan when elie has just returned from the main hall.

Elie frowned. "What do you mean Meghan?"

"Why does the little girl have to do all the papers on the throne? If there is a family, why not just a family?"

"Meghan, I don't know what's on your mind. Our princess must be kept in the kingdom. Don't let us be as crazy as you think we are right now."

Meghan chuckles. "Oh, am I crazy? I just don't like to see that little girl acting all smart and all powerful. Wouldn't it be better to lead us in an authoritative and appropriate age?"

Elie flinch. And then chose to walk away without answering meghan's questions that didn't matter at all.

It is true, Ariadne still has an aunt living in the village of hallstatt. Her aunt was named Mary, and the woman had lived for a long time apart from the royal family. Because it turns out that Mary is not of royal blood. As a child Mary was raised by Winston's parents.

But Mary chose to be expelled from the royal family for not liking the rules of life there. As a result, Ariadne has no one besides her parents. Especially if his parents are dead the way they are today, it would be Ariadne in power and her father's throne falls to her.

"Elie, can I please not do this? I was so dizzy when I saw the writing." The Ariadne complained when Elie had just come with a royal advisor.

The imperial advisor bowed politely to Ariadne. "Let me represent the job, princess." Talk is polite. The counselor's hair has gone gray. His beard is also white. The old man looked down at Ariadne, pleading for work on the papers of the kingdom.

"Okay. Be my guest. I want to play in the park." Ariadne said briefly and was about to get out of the chair.

But elie held back. "No can do, princess. The princess must stay here until the counselor has finished his work."

And Ariadne could only submit and try to sit up straight so that her diamond crown wouldn't fall.
