The town was small but well-guarded. When Perment and his team settled, they used their alchemic knowledge to trade, sell, and recruit.
At the command of Emeros, they were slowly building up a small army of men. The people that they recruited were all slaves who had been freed.
They also became a mercenary group known as the Third Steele. With that, they completed many missions around the town and were constantly hired by the army for missions.
But when the battle in the mines turned strange, as the Imp army did not actively take part in the battles, Perment grew suspicious and positioned his team to solidify the army. He sensed that what Emeros warned them would occur, and so he focused on building the town up to prepare for the battle.
The ripple of Force exploded out as the Champion rushed with all his might to warn the city.
