Somewhere in the Midlands...
Many kingdoms of the Midlands had started to move and surround the entrance that led to the Uninvolved Lands. The greatest obstacle that appeared before them was the Branching Barrier.
It comprised five different kingdoms that lived over the mountainous regions of the Planesworld's twigs and leaves. It was a natural fortress and many massive plots of land because the Yggdrasil's blades of leaves would branch out. Cities would stack up on each other on every part of the leaves.
The Uninvolved Lands resisted pressure from the kingdoms because of this great barrier. Even with an army that could take flight, the arrangement of the cities that hid and overlapped over other blades of leaves prevented it from bombardment from above. And using magic or force to fly up would exhaust the armies.
