Chapter 25 - Diary 25: The Sunset Hill

"Getting better?" David asks Min Soo who is still bedridden.

A day has passed by, his fever toned down thanks to Dr. Wilson's help. Still, that doesn't mean he's healthy as a horse to even start a new mission. The wages from their last mission were down rightfully less rewarding than what they've been through.

The Union and the Knights have been summoned to secure Nadhmill and isolate the area from public space.

Min Soo's fever has yet to fully healed, but the man has been insisting David train his magecraft. David refuses to do his bidding, but even so, the man has been low on motivation since he feels as if he's the one who's responsible for Min Soo's illness. Min Soo tries to ensure the man that he's not the one who's responsible.

Regardless of Min Soo's persistence, David is as stubborn as a rock. He won't listen to any of Min Soo's plead, even if it's about the secret of Sanctus Luminera. His eyes perked when Min Soo adds the word 'Goddess Aphrodite'. The Idol knows David is intensely curious about his involvement with the Gods.

One thing Min Soo knows about David is his love for history and folklore, his bedroom is a library. He remembers that from when he changed his outfit. He didn't pay attention before, but since David has been asking about Min Soo's origin then his curiosity is deplorable. He is hungry for information and knowledge, a suitable trait of an explorer.

Despite that, now David won't listen to any of Min Soo's plead to get stronger. He's been telling Min-Soo to sleep and take a rest. Surely, his temperature goes up to thirty-nine degrees yesterday, now he's thirty-eight degrees. David tells the sickly Idol to take a breather, he's been blaming himself for suggesting the idea of walking toward Nadhmill.

The experienced explorer thought that would help the Idol boost his stamina for exploring tremendously, but his suggestion only pushes the Idol to the limit to the point of being ill.

"I'm getting better, so please let me use my-".

"No! Overusing your mana will only make your immune system down" David growls. "I should have taught you how to use your mana, but now we just have to wait until you get better".

Min Soo pouts, crossing his arm in annoyance whilst looking at the stiff explorer sourly. He mutters under his breath how boring and ridiculous to stay in the bedroom. Looking at the Idol pouting, David massages his forehead. Throwing his coat on Min Soo's lap, the explorer prince decides to take him out of the house.

It's quite chilly outside, so he also throws a hat on the bed. Day has changed, the sun will set soon.

"If you're bored, then let's go outside" David coughs awkwardly.

Min Soo's smiles widened as he follows David obediently from behind.

Escaping the mansion's luxury layout, David takes the Idol toward a certain hill not far from the mansion. The mansion was located not far away from Arachnosia Country, it's the hill from before when Min Soo was puzzled with the new world he just stepped in. Min Soo's face light up when the orange-ish color fills the sky.

"Wow, so pretty" Min Soo mumbles next to David who stands behind Min Soo.

Covering Min Soo's body with his coat, David snuggles behind Min Soo like a Teddy Bear. Warming Min Soo's body temperature with David's body, the Idol blushes beet red. David merely said his piece, he wants to make him warm because Min Soo is still ill. The Idol enjoys the beautiful sunset view whilst being embraced by the prince.

"No need to snuggle behind me" Min Soo blushes.

"You're still ill, there's no way I'm letting you ill again" David grumbles.

As the two stands on the hill, Min Soo tries to manipulate the puddle below him with his remaining mana. David realizes this and stops his actions, Min Soo clicks his tongue somewhat dissatisfied. Still, the man is overprotective about Min Soo's health, he would try his best to be the best partner for Min Soo.

"Why are you protecting me like this?" Min Soo sighs. "You don't have the obligation to protect me".

David shakes his head, the man whispers next to the idol delicately; ensuring that his temperature remains warm in his snuggle. Watching the sunset from the hills had this romantic vibe between them.

As the two of them share the quiet moment between them, Min Soo wishes time could stop at this moment."You're not bored now, right?" David blushes. "I tried my best to provide you the best view for you so that you won't get bored, sheltered inside your bedroom twenty-four hours".

Min Soo smiles perked up, the rosy tint on his cheeks becomes more apparent; thankfully enough the sunset rays cover half of his face. The more time they spent together, the more the sky turning darker every passing minute. The Idol curse himself for not being able to stop the time they spent together.

David is somewhat thinking the same thing as Min Soo, the man is holding him tight despite only saying he wants to warm Min Soo up. The two of them aren't being honest with their feelings, Min Soo looks up only to see David's navy eyes gleamed in the darkness toward his bronze eyes.

"Min Soo" he trails off melancholically.

His lips pursed into a gentle smile, Min Soo gulps as David's eyes aimed toward his bronze eyes. Slowly their lips are going to crash onto each other, as the gaps between their lips growing smaller; a loud explosion was heard not far away from David's mansion. It appears to be an explosion from Arachosia.

The two gentlemen turn pale as the sound of screams could be heard from a distance, a storm is coming. However, that storm is different from before; it is something far more sinister than their previous journey to Nadhmill.

"Min Soo!" David sharp eyes look at Min Soo pair of bronze eyes.

"What?" Min Soo pouts, knowing that David will surely tell him to stay put in his mansion.

"I have a bad feeling about this, please stay put in the mansion" David growls at the Idol seriously.
