The mage casts a spell that drowns the demon lungs, a bubble of water forms on their face. Suffocated by the water, the demons slowly lose their breaths. Died a slow death, the demon slowly succumbed to the ground. His face is pale, suffocated by the water bubble that the mage cast.
It's not an instantaneous death, which horrified the mage expression. The suffocating expression of the demon he killed made him feel tremendous guilt. No matter what he did, in the end, he killed a living creature despite his affiliation as humanity's enemy. His hands are already smeared with the demon's blood; that fact is unavoidable.
David can kill the other demon, the area is now clear of demons. However, the mission remains the same thus to find the relic from the Nadhmill Ruins. Still, strangely enough, the demon he just killed spit something from its mouth. It appears to be the relic they've been trying to find.
It's either sheer luck or the Goddess of luck on their side, the relic shows up from the demon's mouth. David picks the relic from the demon's mouth, there's only one logical conclusion from this. The demon must have eaten Joey's grandfather remaining, for it to have the relic in the mouth.
David smiles in awe at the mage for his expertise, but Min Soo rather than in awe; he's horrified by what he's done to the demon. Min Soo smiles turn dry as he sees the corpse of the demons they slewed. Even if they can slew the demons, the purple blood they exude from the explorer prince slashes bathed ground in dirty purple colors.
When they secure the relics, the two of them go home with fatigue bodies. Scars defiled the K-pop Idol body, if Min Soo's manager here surely the Idol would be doomed. He knows that his manager would scold him if he knows that he's injured or scarred. However, none of that matters anymore in this world.
In this world, what matters is the survival of the fittest; Min Soo painfully aware of this fact. Since he's been facing death doors, he's been trying to protect himself and the prince from harm. Now he just focuses on surviving. The two of them walk home, side by side even in fatigue.
David supports Min Soo's body that's been dying to succumb to the ground.
Min Soo breathes exasperatedly as David carries him away from the cursed place Nadhmill. They will have to return to the guild safely, their mission is somewhat shorter than they expected due to their luck in finding the relic.
Knowing how weak Min Soo currently is, David decides to set a tent after their arduous journey in finding the ancient relic.
He sets a tent with his magical suitcase, setting the mage down in the tent; Min Soo breathes heavily as the colorless breath hits the prince's face. Min Soo is in peril, his health is dropping due to the overuse of Mana was according to David's explanation. As expected, Min Soo's health is dropping.
"Min Soo! Are you alright?" David asks the mage.
"I smell" Min Soo sighs.
Min Soo spoke that out of nowhere, that the fact he smells. His body odor made him feel uncomfortable now that he's near the prince. David somewhat shamelessly unbutton the mage clothes, in response to Min Soo's complaints of his body odor. David carries Min Soo bridal style, his eyes peer his surrounding for any source of clean water.
"Wait! What are you doing!?" Min Soo shrieks, with only his pants remaining.
"I know a good place to take a bath, the enemy won't find our hideout anyway so let's enjoy our time bathing in that lake" he grins. "You overused your Mana Min Soo, not only that you once again saved me".
Min Soo widens his eyes in surprise, the man once again baffles the Idol to even speak. His heart throbs unevenly to the point he feels the constant palpitation on his chest. It's hurting him but at the same time, he feels safe on his chest. His hand clutches on David's clothes, his head leans on David's chest.
David sets the man on the side of a lake, it seems to be a secluded lake out of nowhere. After he sets Min Soo on the side of the lake, David throws his clothes aside only leaving himself in pants. He then dips into the lake, letting his body in touch with the lake water. Min Soo looks into the surface of the water, it looks tranquil and clean enough for them to bathe".
"Come on in" he urges Min Soo to get in the lake.
Min Soo slowly gets into the lake, the coldness of the water freshens his body somewhat. Especially that his body is engulfed in dirt and sweats, the cold sensation on his skin widens the mage's eyes open. Not to mention, his bronze eyes travel to his toned boy. David seems to be at ease, but his eyes soon sharpened the moment Min Soo's eyes landed on David's back.
There's a huge scar on his back as if he was struck by an abominable force. It's an old scar for sure, but it's big enough for the Idol to be worried. His eyes show concern, and David rolls his eyes the moment Min Soo wants to speak. The prince cuts him off, with another agonizing question that the Idol wants to avoid.
"What happened with your hair? If I may ask that is" David asks curiously.
Min Soo is frozen when the man asks that sensitive question, he crumples on the grasses. David looks at the bald area on Min Soo's head, the coin-shaped baldness intrigues the prince to ask more even though Min Soo doesn't want to answer it. Min Soo glares at David whose navy eyes are staring curiously at Min Soo's hair.
"If I answer your question, will you answer mine?" Min Soo's eyes latched on David's back. "Can I ask what happened to your back?".
David's curious eyes turn defensive the moment Min Soo asks the scar on his back. The two gentlemen exchange curious glances, not knowing the air between them is getting heavy.
