Min Soo passes out, his blurry vision indicates that he's asleep for a while. Still blurry of what happened, he was awakened in his room, David solemnly waits for Min Soo to wake up. He's sitting on the corner of the bed, waiting for the Idol to wake up. As soon as he yawns and wakes up from his slumber, the man apologizes out of the blue.
"I'm sorry, I spiked your drink with sleeping pills" David bows his head. "You can hit me if you want".
Min Soo is surprised with the fact that David spiked his drink and the fact that he admits his wrongdoing. David explains the reason for his spiking was because he wants to test whether Min Soo had other abilities such as drug immunity. Despite his explanation, it doesn't change the fact that he spikes the Idol's drink.
Min Soo hit his cheek hard, still in a half-sober state from the sleeping pills. The Idol clenches his fist as he then throws another hissy fit at the rich man before him. He hits the man lightly, annoyed by how he tested him for his experiment. David doesn't counter his hits, he just lets the Idol did whatever he wants to do.
"So it appears you don't have any drugs immunity" David hum to himself. "It's interesting, that means you're just like any regular Visioners".
Somehow his words stab Min Soo's heart deep, but he's right. Min Soo would have thought there's something else more other than the grimoire, but there's nothing else about him that special other than the Aquos elements she possesses. David claims that his power classifies his job as a mage.
'Mage' has a nice ring on it, Min Soo calms himself down after David gently explains Min Soo's power, Min Soo pulls David up from the bed, the Idol is still angry, nevertheless, it doesn't seem like David wants to explain his circumstances. However, the man then clears his throat as if to clarify something.
"Truth to be told, I was testing whether you trust me enough" David sighs. "I know it's inexcusable, but I need to know that you trust me enough to guide you toward your fate".
David speaks in a riddle, but Min Soo somewhat gets what he means. The man is confusing, he is kind but somewhat sketchy. Min Soo is perplexed by the fact he just got spiked by his rescuer. He depends on him for living, as expected he needs to find his place to live rather than depending on a stranger.
"I can see that you're wary of me" David smiles. "It's a good reaction, no matter where you are please be aware that not everyone is nice enough to help you out".
David calmly sits next to the wary Min Soo on the bed, an expression of amusement crosses the handsome man's face. As if nothing ever happened to them, the man tells Min Soo to take a rest. The reason for this is because every time Min Soo uses his Aquos power it requires him to use his Mana.
The usage of Mana depends on the user's capability of merging with nature, David says that Min Soo will learn his power over time. David urges him to try lots of things to practice his magic.
Since the day has turned tonight, the Idol decides to sleep for now. Still, Min Soo can't help but feel slightly ticked by David's behavior. There's something about him that is too mysterious for him to comprehend. Nevertheless, David promises that he will show him the ropes about what he's about to do in a guild or a union.
Despite his offer of kindness, Min Soo buries his head deep on the comfy pillow. Especially, since he knew that the man who saved him drugged him out of nowhere. Min Soo can't help but suspicious of what David plans for him, since he seems to be invested in the fact that Min Soo is a foreigner that comes from another world.
"What is it that he plans?" Min Soo thought to himself, pondering whether he stays in the right home, right place.

David is giving Min Soo a trial run to both institutions, the Union and the Guild. The fact that the rich man who just drugged him is pretty accommodating to his needs made him more suspicious. The first stop is the Union, where David mainly works and socializing with his peers and officials.
Gretel explains how the Union system works, Min Soo listens to it intently as his eyes gaze on Gretel's gestures. The twin is quite good at explaining, the way he explains Union jobs are efficient and methodical for Min Soo to understand.
More or less, Union usually prioritizes jobs that pay a handsome sum of money or the officials, in other words, the government.
The level of priority is also different when it comes to jobs, they usually had certain ranks for each quest or jobs that were given. The officials or the government usually use the top rankers' bodyguards. There's a rank system in the Union, divided by numbers, of course, David ranked as the first.
David's strength is unparalleled and so far no one can outmatch him in a fight. Whether it's a human being or monstrous beings. Min Soo's first job is quite easy, the union board in the luxurious tavern shows a few D to A rank offers, while the S ranks one is kept by the administrator in the office.
The quests systems are similar to how the guild quest system works, the differences lie in the freedom and the wages. S ranks quests available to apply in Guild by all guild members, while the S rank quests are a luxury.
Not all members can apply S rank quests in a Union, only a selected few can apply, while the guild does not have such rules in their domain.
Only top rankers can apply for S ranks quests, while the others have to climb to the top to able to apply for one.
"Alright, since you're a beginner then here it is" Gretel picks the easiest quest from the Union board. "It's a D rank quest, your job is to guard the client Sarah to arrive at the destination, Ausville".
As expected of a low-rank quest, the wages are small but still, it's worth trying. Min Soo reads the piece of paper carefully, it is finally the time for him to shine as a mage.
