"Your Highness," The General Commander said, his voice grave, "Are your informants certain about that?"
"Informants?" The Empress asked.
"I beg your pardon?"
"What informants are you pertaining to?"
Bewildered by the question, Duke Percival didn't know what to say. Thankfully, the Empress readily found out what the Duke was confused about.
"I don't have any informants, General Commander Percival. As I've said, I discovered the connection between the Hohoelhen Kingdom and the Elventeres Alliance during my investigation."
"By that… Do you mean that you investigated the Kingdom on your own?"
Nodding her head, the Empress responded, "That is the case."
Ilya didn't let another long interpose take over the conversation. Hence, Her Highness quickly followed up with her words.
