Ilya had imagined telling her father about how she had suffered.
But she didn't want anything out of it. She just wished to be a reminder that her father was not a good person to her.
Her words would never be a part of her revenge.
"Bear in mind that there is always room for change, Duke Gertrude. If it's on the right path, it will be welcomed. If it's on the wrong path, you know that you will suffer from the consequences."
The Duke nodded in agreement to what Ilya was saying. However, that wasn't of concern to him at the moment. He was thinking of a way to stop Ilya from going. Or, at the least, he wanted to part with her knowing where she would be going.
Either of the two, the Duke had to force the answer out of Ilya. He didn't want to appear more overbearing than he already was. But there was a need to be.
