If there was one crime that the Emperor deeply loathed, it was slavery. The monarch especially keen on abolishing child labor. A crime of equal gravity was the abduction of children.
However, there were a few Nobles who decided to play with fire. Nobles like Sorsiana and Henry Hamlin would exploit all of the methods they could think of just to pursue their illegal agendas. And they weren't alone in their assays.
No matter how thorough the Emperor was in eliminating the evil-minded sector, they would find a way come what might.
Having said that, if a Noble was proven to have committed the crime of abducting children, they would lose their title without even undergoing trial. Their appeal would never be accepted.
The Emperor wanted these criminals to suffer as much as the children they had abducted.
