Whether it had been a few hours or only a minute, Ilya didn't care. The only thing in her mind was adrenaline.
Adrenaline for having escaped possible interaction with the First Prince.
The moment that Prince Arkus took his gaze off of her, Ilya retreated as far as she could. Once she was at the edge of the forest, she circumnavigated the entire line of mansions at the eastern border of the district. Thereafter, she made her exit by jumping over the towering gates.
Ilya didn't stop being on the run despite not having anyone on her trail. She knew it.
However, she didn't want to risk everything by being complacent. For all she knew, the First Prince had concealed himself and was already out to get her.
What better way to spend the rest of her days than being interrogated by someone utterly perspicacious?
