Although Ilya wanted to depart the area as soon as she could, her feet were rooted in place. Her gaze was fixated on the group of people who had just arrived at the restaurant.
The group bypassed the long line of people outside, albeit earned no complaint. If anything, they received gazes of regard and interest. It was because the individuals composing the group were the symbol of power within the entire Empire.
Ilya could only stare at them with a vacant look in her eyes. She had expected, to some degree, that she would cross paths with the people she was trying to avoid. However, it was too early.
She didn't even know that they were the type to eat outside of their estates or offices.
'They surely get along well. No wonder the Empire is waging another war.' Ilya thought, remembering that she hadn't taken a breath for almost ten seconds.
