The entire Gerveschten Fief was surrounded by areas where no man could thrive.
In the north of the fief was the one of the deepest and steepest valleys within the Arekse Continent. It was named Harkahor Valley, standing at three-thousand meters above sea level.
Bordering the east and the south were deserts that were almost as big as half of the fief combined. Gerveschten Fief wasn't among the largest Fiefs of the Etheros Empire. As a matter of fact, it was average when it came to the area.
However, the fiefs' deserts were most notorious for their harsh weather. During the day, the heat could dehydrate someone within a few minutes. Once the sun sets, the temperature would drop to a point that the ground would freeze, turning into a thick sheet of ice.
In the south of the fief was the least difficult to traverse. It was a long stretch of forest where night was endless.
