"The suspect… Horen is the suspect?" The Duke said breathlessly, his gaze wandering from Ilya to Horen repeatedly, "What is going on?"
Horen, whose mind refused to acknowledge what was happening, glowered at Ilya with all the detestation he could muster. He pointed his finger at her, gritting his teeth as he tried to find the words to say.
"You! How dare you do something as preposterous as this?! Blaming the heir of a Dukedom to the murder of his own mother!"
Ilya had no intention of talking to the young man. Hence, she ignored his rumblings, much to Horen's anger.
The young Lady then faced the Duke and observed a myriad of expressions flash across his face. She swallowed the urge to laugh upon seeing his wide-open eyes tremble.
"Ilya, what is the meaning of this? How is Horen the suspect? How can he kill his own mother?"
