"Huh? What's this?" Horen muttered as he patted the part of his chest where the trail had landed, "It's not painful so I doubt that it's an attack."
Right at that instant, the young man remembered something that made his breathing stop. He slowly followed the length of the trail with his eyes, his heart beating heavier by the second.
Horen was sentient that it was a trail made of Manna, hence the name of the spell. He looked behind him and checked to see if the trail continued. But to his utter stupefaction, the end truly landed on him.
Absorbed in his perturbation, Horen didn't hear the footsteps that were coming his way. He didn't even notice that some of the soldiers were slowly walking towards him, their faces the epitome of confusion.
"Why is the young master just standing there? Wasn't he summoned by the Duke?"
"I don't know? Maybe he's on his way to receive the knights? Should we accompany him?"
