To spare himself from the long conversation that would ensue, Aectaeon just chose the first option.
"Very well, there's not much for me to say. Go inside the carriage."
Aectaeon did as he was told, but not without giving one last nod to the man. He was surprised that he was able to do that. However, he paid no heed to the strange occurrence.
Once he was inside the carriage, a guard closed the door for him. Aectaeon leaned his back on the seat and loosened his tie.
