Chapter 61 - Game World 2: _ _ _ _ _ _   D E M _ _ _ : _ _ _ _ _ _   _ _ _ _ _ (10)

Aectaeon explained all the necessary steps that Krysha had to do in order to capture Jratyalner.

Krysha became ecstatic that she was able to communicate with a Demon. The two were so utterly absorbed in their conversation that they seemed to have forgotten that Aectaeon and Thyr existed.

For that reason, he left the woman and the small Demon once he was done instructing her. The man also commanded Thyr to return to the portal.

Throughout the time he was walking, Aectaeon began to read 'his' journal.

'It was a good thing that I ordered Thyr to return. It's expensive to keep them outside of the portal.'

Demons that were under the control of Meisters were not free to stay out in the open. For them to continue to materialize out of the portal, they would have to expend their Health Points.

On average, a level 50 Demon would need to expend 15 HP per minute out of the portal. To recover 15 HP, they would have to stay inside of the portal for 5 minutes. As for Thyr, since it was a level 106 Demon, it could use up to 70 HP per minute.

To prevent the HP's of Demons from being reduced, a rare item should be in the possession of the Meister. There only existed five of the same item, three of those already in the hands of Grand Meisters.

Upon learning that there was an item with such a function, Aectaeon was intrigued. Thus, he made it a goal to acquire one for himself.

'Though, I don't know where to start finding it. I better research properly once I'm done with the current mission.'

Reading for longer, Aectaeon found the answers that he was coveting the most. A smile of satisfaction was plastered all over his face, scaring the little demons who happened upon him.

After he became satiated of perusing the journal, Aectaeon closed the panel, and eventually, the device. He then looked ahead, narrowing his eyes to get a good look at the opening of the forest.

'I want to see the Hunting Ground for myself. Based on my journal, it's the only area I was willing to allow Meisters to capture Demons.' He reflected, whistling as he walked. 'There might be a few Meisters there. Maybe I can try engaging one of them in a battle. But will they agree, knowing that I'm a Mentor Meister?'

Aectaeon didn't want to ponder on the matter thoroughly. He just let his feet guide him to his destination, apathetic to what he would possibly arrive at.

Following a whole minute of walking, Aectaeon finally reached the entrance to the Hunting Ground. And it was beyond what he had expected.

Aectaeon could feel the breeze embracing him tightly. The man sauntered forward, stopping at the edge of the terrain. His gaze fell down on the ground that was approximately a kilometer below where he was standing.

"I thought it was just a clearing. I didn't think that the Hunting Ground would be at the bottom of a valley." He muttered under his breath as he put his hands inside his pockets.

Down below, there were hundreds of Meisters and Demons. Some Meisters were waiting on the sidelines, some confronting the Demons directly. Meanwhile, the Demons were too fickle in their choice of Meisters.

Most of the Demons were just standing there, ignoring the advances of Meisters.

There were battles ongoing as well. That was what Aectaeon was most interested in.

'It looks like that Meister won't win against that Demon. Their own Demon looks like it will collapse in a second.'

Aectaeon merely watched the happenings at the bottom of the valley. He refused to make a move before he's certain that he had accomplished his mission.

'Since I was allowed to approach this area, it can possibly mean that the game is leading me to the Hunting Ground. It's fine to exercise some patience once in a while.'

Before Aectaeon knew it, his long-awaited message was delivered by the system.

[[ Activating Time Compression ]]

Aectaeon felt a warm sensation rise from the soles of his feet, travelling upwards as laggardly as it could. Once it hit his head, he was forced to shut his eyes out of the throe that assaulted his skull.

Upon opening his eyes, Aectaeon saw a message that he never thought he would see in his entire journey in the Obelisk.

[[ Time Compression ]]

[[ 3 Days in Game World = 3 Hours in The Obelisk ]]

Aectaeon blinked a few times, believing that he was only dreaming. He then rubbed his eyes with his knuckles ahead of looking at the panel once more.

"Is this really real? Like really, really, real? Are you saying that I can stay longer in this world without sacrificing my record in The Obelisk?"

The man took several breaths, feeling his insides heat up with excitement. He started pacing back and forth at the edge of the terrain, undaunted by the possibility that he could fall.

The man wanted to be honest with himself. He was looking forward to his adventure in the current game world. However, he still had a goal to clear the game in the shortest time possible.

It was as if the system had read his mind.

"Is this really happening?"

[[ Warning! ]]

[[ Time Compression will lose its effect once the Necklace is destroyed ]]

[[ Protect the Necklace at all cost ]]

"Necklace,"

Upon mentioning the word, he patted his neck and felt the coldness of the metal on his fingertips. He lifted the chain and finally saw the golden necklace hanging around his neck.

"Is this the necklace that the woman was planning on giving to me? I have to be thankful then. But before I say my gratitude,"

Aectaeon's gaze then moved towards the bottom of the valley. The glints on his eyes sharpened as he anticipated his journey.

"I'll do some Hunting on the ground."
