Kian woke up sometime in the afternoon and was quite aware of René's presence in the house. She had been busy in the kitchen preparing a nice brunch for him. He woke up to the aroma of her cooking.
"What are you making?" he asked of her.
"Veggies and cheese bake, Strawberries and Cream French toast, Blueberry pancakes and oatmeal wrap." – René replied.
He looked at the dishes as she was plating them. They were beautiful and appetizing.
"You cook well." He remarked, "Where did you learn it?"
"My mom run her own restaurant. She was the master chef in my father's hotel before that. I used to accompany her at work and learned to cook from the people working there."
"Did your parents meets there?" he said thoughtfully. He recalled having heard something about the whirlwind affair of Piere Toussaint.
René chuckled, "Yes. Their story is quite famous. My father fell in love with her cooking much before he saw her."
