Alysé was in a daze. Her dream had come true. The man she had entrusted the responsibility with, had done the job for her. Tears trickled down her eyes and her heart swelled with happiness.
Ryan knew those emotions well. He had seen them at the time he had won the Wimbledon and the French Open. She was as ecstatic then as now.
Victories made her feel secure; he remembered how often she had coaxed him to go on and not give up. Even at difficult stages, in his career, she had kept him afloat.
His heart melted for her and washed away anger. He pulled her to himself and hugged her tight.
"We have done it!" she said in a muffled voice, "We have won the championship. No one will dare look down upon me anymore."
"Yes. You have vindicated yourself."- Ryan consoled her.
