"Because of what, Yden? Because I'm more than that? More than a friend for you?" John breathed.
Yden fixed her eyes on John. Her look said something that her mouth could not let out. There was a little furrow on her eyebrow, and her lips shivered in slightly upturned as if she was about to cry.
Although Yden didn't open her mouth to utter a word, John could already grasp the meaning of her action. He could hear her silence well. John could see the words that she was trying to hide. However, he still wondered, why did she need to stifle? What was she scared of?
Her look indeed said her true feelings for him, and John felt the need to confirm it. He crossed the distance between them and pulled her close to his arms. He kissed her on the forehead as he said, "I love you, Yden, and we will do this together."
