Chereads / Master of Voracious Beasts / Chapter 53 - Safety First

Chapter 53 - Safety First

Back to Jomel.

He is looking straight with a serious expression.

Earlier he is having thought of his weakness.

Deep within his heart or deep within his very Soul, he disdains to kill defenseless beings who cannot put up a fight.

It feels like if he did it, that thought will haunt him forever and that's not a path he plans to thread.

That's why he spared the ape monkey who accepted his death already.

He knew that this a very big weakness that he possesses.

Someday, that thing or the enemy he would face in the future might turn back to him.

But his feeling had no regrets, his will is so strong that he couldn't care less what they may become.

So without hesitation, he turned back and spared the three Soul-Beasts.

Soul-Beast creatures are intelligent especially Legendary beings like Motus and TaoTierus.

They even tried to talk back to him like he is an inferior being.

And that ape monkey surely had an Intelligent that Unique Soul-Beast had.

Right now, that Ape monkey is probably a Semi-Legendary being because of his expression and the way he moves is for those intelligent creatures.

Only some of those Semi-Legendary Soul-Beast possess such a trait.

Jomel is sure that if he met the Ape in the future he'd be an opponent to fight.

But when the monkey close his eyes while protecting its siblings was truly a sight to behold.

A Soul-Beast caring for its sibling truly a Sight to behold.

He thought that most of the Soul-Beast won't display such a trait.

But all his assumption is wrong, they are also like humans too because of the ape shown to him.

In his mind, such a beast like Semi-Legendary Soul-Boust and down only knows how to roar and roar like an angry beast they are.

Fear that he may come back to hunt him down for revenge..?

Jomel is smiling widely like his smile was about to reach his ear with a dangerous red light in his eyes!

He stopped his movements and then he looks in the direction he was from.

Where the Soul-Beast he spared is.

He then looks in front of him with sharpness.

His movements are giving a dangerous vibe and full of sharpness that may give feeling to anyone who is looking at him that their Soul was being cut and ground slowly and painfully.

He is trembling from time to time.

He is trembling with excitement deep within from his very Soul.

There is no malicious intent, evil intent only pure excitement and hope to battle!

Jomel knew that his personality is like this, his personality was mostly attributed and influenced by his Soul-Beast Voltury Raptor.

Who only fights for his life, this means that he is becoming one with him.

The emerging is not only shown to a Tamer's combat form but deep within his Soul.

There is the only problem he is facing in the future from his beasts.

All of them are gluttonous beasts.

Voracious, an insatiable hunger from deep within them.

What will he become? A Glutton..?

---

Jomel wants to find a place to train.

A place that is full of Insect-Type Soul-Beast creatures.

Where he can practice his precognition ability to a high extent.

And the next thing to train himself from sneak attacks.

There are maybe stronger beings or Soul-Beasts who are good at sneak attacks.

But to Jomel Insect have varieties of types that are all good in sneak attacking.

He likes to experience that, what kind of animals to meet and many more.

There may be many things he wants to see and witness, but his Focus should be his safety.

He stopped on a random tree and took a pen from his pocket.

Jomel borrowed this earlier to General Mozar so he could take down notes when he is in the wild.

And after taking it out he took another little booklet.

What Jomel likes is that papers in this world have water immunity.

They can't get wet once it rains.

Fortunately, that his belonging was not destroyed by the Fight earlier.

Also, entering the realm, he made sure to cover his whole body with Will's energy to protect everything, including his clothes.

Jomel found and random tree and made a giant hole from it.

Before writing down what he needs to do and needs to train he will write down first is Safety.

Tree holes are the best hiding place for him.

And then he started writing down.

How to keep himself safe..?

It is to keep in mind the rule of the wild.

Don't Feed or Cook in the Wild.

Human food will attract a lot of Strong creatures in the wild, to avoid being trap by a lot of wild creatures he won't try to cook in the wild.

Especially swarm of beasts and Insect types of creatures.

Soul-Beast lives depend on a natural diet.

Slow & Steady Saves Lives.

Jump from tree to trees at or speed limits and be aware that wildlife or Soul-Beast creatures have terrifying senses.

Be Aware of any monster and even to Tamers, and death by the Soul-Beasts here are cruel.

They won't leave behind any corpse and instead swallow the deceased tamer whole.

So it is best if he is careful.

Fortunately, he is using Wind-Type Attacks so he didn't need to worry about being discovered.

Wind types are types of assassins but still, Jomel needs to be cautious.

Go The Distance.

He always needs to watch wildlife from an impactful, non-threatening distance, and use his Precognition is better.

Getting too close scares animals from their natural habitat, preventing them from eating and tending their young.

This could enrage them, and Jomel learned a lesson from the Six-Armed gorilla.

And best is being quiet on the trail in addition to keeping his distance translates to more sightings!

Let Babies Be.

Though it raises alarms to see a baby animal all by itself, there is often a mother nearby.

Jomel thought that a good and her fawn is case in point. Never touch or move a baby animal — even if you think it is hurt.

This could work to eggs also, He already has three beasts so as long as he can he will avoid those kinds of things.

When it comes to baby animals, nature may be wiser than Jomel can think of.

Even if mama isn't easily visible, young ones are often cared for.

He'd be sure to leave them alone if he saw one or see them.

Restraint of releasing owned Soul-Beasts.

With an abundance of wildlife, it's common for a tamer to unleashed Soul-Beasts to bolt after Wild Soul-Beast we humans cannot see or hear.

The result? Hours spent locating a tamers disoriented Soul-Beast or even worse losing it forever.

Not something a Soul-Beast tamer should ever have to endure and easily prevented.

Especially his battle maniac Voltury Raptor Soul-Beast.

He only released it when he fighting with the Six armed gorillas.

And when he is not, it is better to keep it on his Soul-Space.

Plus the speed of his Voltury is another problem if he released it in the wild.

Lastly are swamps or lakes, bodies of water.

Body of water is usually where most beasts are the place for the beasts to gather.

They need water every day to survive, but at the same time, in there lurks the deadliest beasts.

Like Bone Chomper.

---

Jomel loves to go to the swamp in his past life, he was trapped around and in swamps and survived to tell about it.

That's not to say that he can be foolish when walking around in a swamp especially in this world teeming with dangerous creatures.

There are features hidden underwater.

Slippery mud can put him into water over his head before he knew it.

When submerged creekbeds are totally underwater and not all that obvious, slow things down and move with extreme causation.

But it is easy actually.

He just needs to use his head and recognize a few dangers there that he won't find on high and dry land, and he will probably do all right.

But like to be said in this world, there are no guarantees.

If he accidentally had been in situations that he wasn't completely sure he was going to get out of, so some common sense and a cautious attitude can help keep him out of trouble but with no guarantees.

He needed always a walking stick to probe ahead of him if he wasn't sure of what was there.

Just to make sure.

His sword must be kept only for battle, sticks can be found anywhere so it is more ideal to use it.

He also needs to keep all my movements down to careful un-hurried and thought-out progress.

His precognition ability is not yet trained well.

So it's best to avoid that kind of dangerous place first.

Survival is the best thing he can think of doing all now.

---

After reading it over and over again,

jomel decides that it is time to go.

He made sure that things like the Six-armed gorilla won't happen again.

He may have a higher chance of surviving because of his precognition ability but it doesn't mean he is already safe from everything.
