Chapter 30 - Thousand year old deity or three year old toddler

"Alright, then, may I ask, who are you? I-I mean, what are you?" Aelin changed her tone almost immediately, after realizing she stepped on the taboo topic.  After all, last time, he reacted like he would chop her into a million tiny pieces for asking this.

As expected, his expression changes. But luckily, this time he controlled himself well. After all, this girl needs time to adjust, to adapt, and to know about everything.

" I am Prithvi Raj. A thousand years old deity.  This Milky Way Galaxy is my domain, my souvenerity. To manage, to serve, to help, and to rule this galaxy is my role and responsibility.

Although my name suggests: The Ruler of the Earth [ Prithvi: Earth, Raj: Rule ]. But since, The Holy Divinities get impressed by my skills and power. So, they made me in charge of this entire galaxy.

Every creature referred to me as ' The Great Dietiness'. After The Three Holy Divinities, it's me who is highly respected, and mostly terrified by organisms.  I can do anything from everything in my territory as well as in someone else's territory and the same is the case for you.

Since you are my one and only friend in this Universe and the Phoenix Goddess. So, the entire Universe will respect you and follow each and every command of yours.

Plus, you don't have to think too much. I am here to take care of you, to guide you, to help you. So, don't worry. Okay!" He replied in the solemn, ruler's tone. So that she would take his words seriously. After all, she is good at playing the deaf ear to his words and blind eye to his presence.

Or maybe that's his Phoenix, his Aelin, who would treat him like an invisible air.

"Ohk. The Great Dirtiness." She replied back, not forgetting the fact, she is talking with the powerful deity, who is actually one thousand years old.

It won't be a lie to say, she was beyond shocked, this person, he is… and she just "...."

After remembering all her journey till now with him. She couldn't help but mentally scold herself. She had told him to leave. She had shouted at him. Was she calling her death like this!!!

While his somehow bright face turned three degrees cold, immediately. What did she call him?

She felt a terrifying aura emitted from this fellow. And instinctively she retreated back towards the main branch.

He saw and couldn't help taking a deep sigh to control himself. In order to not scare her.  After a few moments of silence; he added "You aren't allowed to call me that. Call me Prithvi." The last line was so cute.

She couldn't help but believe that a three-year-old child was talking, rather than this deity. So, she nodded subconsciously.

"Then from now onwards, you will be spending two hours in the morning and three hours in the evening, with me." He said and she was like.

'What the fuck? He must be kidding, right. I am not that type of girl. Alright!!!'

He saw her facial expression changing with lightning speed, and he wondered what he did wrong now.

"Why are you glaring daggers at me?  Can you survive on your own? Can you take care of yourself? Can you deal with everyone and everything as a Phoenix on your own? Can you fight?

You have to practice. You have to exercise. You have to learn everything from scratch. Or else, how will you be able to protect yourself? Huh!!!" He replied in a gravely pissed tone while answering his own- asked question.

Here he was trying to protect her from each and everything. Yet here she was being mean to him. Like seriously. He got another heartless creature.

'Fighting skills. Oh!!! Why should I? Come on, I have learned some self-defense skills. They will protect me. Won't they?' She thought.

But then she realizes that she isn't on Earth anymore. The incident with Devmaya was more than enough for her to teach that. She needs skills. She needs power. Only then can she change her fate.

Otherwise, just like the KIM family. All the heaveners will tread on her, too. She doesn't want to live a life of mockery, humiliation, and disrespect again. Nope. She wants to live with her head held high, back straight, with respect, with dignity.

So she has to do it.

So, after thinking about it, she nodded.

"Then, let's start with going back to the barrage." He simply spat the words. After all, he saw her acting like Buddha, in deep contemplation. Then he saw her nodding, which was more than enough for him.

She nodded again. But this time, he didn't offer his assistance, to carry her back in his arms to the barrage, earning a frown from her.

Well, he would love to. But she has to identify herself, she has to realize what unique masterpiece she is.

"Open your wings, Aelin. Let's fly together back home." He only gave her this sentence. Earning an exasperated expression from her. She has wings. She can fly. OMG!!!!!

Fine. Since her mind was busy absorbing all the information. So, she mostly skipped what he said. But now…. Wings…

As for Prithvi, who felt like teaching Ramayan to a very naughty kid, who at the end was now asking; "Who was Sita's wife?"

[ FYI: Sita is the female lead of the Indian epic named Ramayana. And she was the wife of Lord Ram, who is the Main Protagonist and ML of this epic. ]

It made him want to smack his forehead really very tightly. He really very clearly mentioned what she can and can't do. Didn't he? Was she even listening to him?

"Yes. Wings. Now open them for a flight." He patiently added.

'I have wings. OMG. I don't have wings.' And she, the person who would rather believe she is a zombie than the fact that she was flying… like literally… She has wings. OMG!!!! Just kill me.

Prithvi saw an overly shocked child in front of him and couldn't help but sighed heavily. After gaining back his composure, he closed his eyes. Then, suddenly the white beam of light started overlapping him, surrounding him and covering him.

There they were. His wings. His white feathers. His highly thin, yet highly strong and powerful wings. The wings, that except him and his birth-mother, no one else has seen till now.

Not even this Phoenix. Yet now, he was showing off his wings, in all its glory. An angel, in an ancient white robe and with white translucent wings, which would turn transparent very soon, as always.

The sight was so mesmerizing, that to say nothing about Aelin, even the people who were reading and the author who was typing, couldn't help but take a moment of pause to admire it.

~~

"See. You have yours too. Now focus on the core of fire in you. And order your wings to open up." He added. Damn this simple sentence sounds so damn enchanting that Aelin even forgot to blink.

Well, that was somewhat predicted, after all, when this oh-so-perfect personality showed his glory, his wings, then it's bound to make everyone spellbound with it.

Prithvi saw her acting like a mannequin and couldn't help but frown. Did he make a joke? No, right!!! Then, why on the earth is she staring at him as if staring at some... umm... what these humans say… what was that word… again…. Clown?

Ah!!! A mannequin. A statue.

He took a deep breath and thus, within a blink, his wings disappeared. Well, they were still there but in the transparent, wind form, in the most invisibly... visible form.  Making Aelin just blink, as if she has just seen World's most shocking magic, at the moment.

Earning another sigh from Prithvi. Damnit!!! Fine, he is babysitting a human in a phoenix's body. But can she stop giving his wings that type of glare!!!! His wings are too damn sensitive, they hate being stared at.

This was one of the reasons why he never showed them to anyone. But here, despite being in the invisible form or could say colorless form, they were being self-conscious.

All no-thanks to her hell-defying stare at them. As for Prithvi, he felt a bit awkward, by Aelin's gaze. Heavens, he did everything to impress that phoenix, yet see, these wings are more than enough to mesmerize this human. Whatever. After all, he was feeling angry at his own wings, who were receiving those dreamy stares from those eyes.

Damnit!!! Was he really losing his mind? No, it can't be, right!!!

"If you have had enough. Then, shall we?" He asked in a pissed voice. Well, he was pissed at himself. Or some heartless phoenix.

While she thought, it might not be a good thing to stare at someone's wings like that. Earning that cold sentence for him.

[ Well, it literally wasn't. As the angels, only showcase their wings to their mates. And that too, at the time of mating. As everyone carries that transparency in their wings, making it look like a person flying in the air.

But in reality, it's the wings that create those miracles.]

"Oh." Aelin, the speechless one, could only reply, with an OH.

As she literally has nothing to speak back.
