I watched the fire engulfed the large part of the forest, feeling the heat as the smoke wafted my nostrils. Luis ascended, distancing us from the burning forest.
"Such power," I murmured under my breath, staring at the flames that lightened up the night. "It could've done in a split second."
I fought all those inferior monsters with all my might, but Luis only need a second to finish them all. A sense of inferiority crawled up into my heart, but I squashed it immediately.
'I shouldn't think like that!' I closed my eyes, shaking my head profusely.
"What you've done alone there is commendable," Luis muttered, causing me to look up to meet his gaze. "You did well."
He patted my head gently, making my cheek burn up. I never received such compliments in my life. Thus, it made me feel a little abashed.
"There's nothing to do here anymore. Let's head back," He announced, shifting his gaze to the burning forest.
